"Hacking" seems to be (lately) a continual attack within the Aaliyah community. Recently another Aaliyah fan page @ourbabygirl22 was "hacked". The original owner came out and NOT ONLY said "I was hacked.." but shared her story. Yeah it's embarrassing to confess how you fell for something, but that bit of information educates others. 🙏🏼 We all know what to watch out for but there are times where we just let our guard down. ❤️🍷 I applaud @ourforeverbabgirl22 for sharing her story. Some of this is common sense but hackers are very crafty..... ❌ NEVER click on weird links, even if that link came from an account you're familiar with. ⚠️If you weren't already expecting to receive such a link and it's just out of the blue.... it may not be wise to click on it. Their account might have been hacked. 🤷🏽♀️ ❌ NEVER give out personal information: this includes your phone number, etc!! ⚠️ Please see attached image. This is one of MANY ways someone can use your phone number to get access to your account. ❌ BE WEARY of those "what's your pet's name?", "What's your favorite color?" types of question/games ⚠️ because those are the same questions used to verify your account and/or change your password. ❌ Do NOT make your password something as simple as your favorite singers name. ✅ If you do receive a weird request or a link from an account you're familiar with, I personally like to ask them 1-3 questions that ONLY ME and that person know the answer to; and they have less than a minute to respond. 😒 ⚠️(This is just in case the hacker hacked my friends account and scrolls through our conversation to find the answer to my question so that I can trust them ). ✅ Yeah it can be a pain, but use Two-Step Verification if available‼️⚠️ if the person is able to get far this just adds extra roadblocks making it more difficult for them and if your account allows you to be notified when someone's logged into your account ...set that up too! #TeamAaliyah #aaliyaharmy #aaliyahsangels #aaliyah #fraud #protectyourenergy #protectyourpeace #protecryourself https://www.instagram.com/p/CW3yRD6vEp0/?utm_medium=tumblr
