Thousands gathered outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement office in Chicago Tuesday evening to hear stories from DACA recipients and other immigrants after a rally and march from Federal Plaza. Demonstrators were urging "Protection for all" undocumented immigrants in light of the Trump administration's decision to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, announced on Sept. 5, 2017. Vamos a quebrar el I.C.E. This poster came back with me from Arizona in 2013 when we shut down an ICE facility in downtown Phoenix. We occupied the outside for the entire day and threw a big pachanga outside the gates. It may have been only for that one day, but we knew at least for that day no one was being processed or deported from there. In 2012, undocumented leaders led the way and we got DACA by holding Obama accountable and taking direct action. No one thought either of those things could be done, but they happened. The difference now is that we know people power can close down detention centers and pressure President's to provide relief. If people made the impossible possible before, we can make even MORE possible. We need to fight for EVERYONE this time because no one should live their life in fear. #Not1More #ProtectionforAll #NoBanNoWall 📸: @loveandstrugglephotos (at Federal Center and Plaza)

I can't even begin to try to come up with the right words. This is just wrong and downright disgusting. "Illegal aliens" is a social constuct that dehumanizes people. They are human beings trying to succeed in life. Please know you are not alone in this fight. No pierdan esperanza mis hermanxs.
