So... I was just sitting there, minding my own business and playing Link’s Awakening, when this popped in my head...
They were in Legend’s Hyrule when some guards came up to them. The Vet sighed.
“Link Lon?” they asked as a formality (a rarity these days, the brainwashing must actually be wearing off).
Legend opened his mouth to speak, but Time beat him to it. “Yes?” he asked.
Legend gawped at him. Time knew the situation here, so why was he…?
The guards looked a little thrown. “Er… We mean that guy,” one said, pointing at Legend.
“But it is my name,” Time returned. “Link Lon. My wife reminds me quite often. ‘Link Lon, go and get the cucco eggs.’ ‘Link Lon, don’t you dare set one foot in my kitchen!’ ‘Link Lon, when I get my hands on you…’ Well, I think you get the gist.”
The guards looked incredibly confused, and quite frankly, so was Legend and by the looks of it, Twilight and Four as well. (the others were still back at Legend’s house)
“Was there something you needed from me?” Time asked, head cocked to the side and voice deceptively polite.
“Uh… W-we have a warrant to arrest Link Lon,” another guard spoke up, “but I…”
“Oh, what ever for?” Time asked (the little shit).
“For k-kidnapping the princess,” the guard said.
“Hmm… When was that?” Time asked. “I don’t remember doing that.”
“You didn’t,” spoke up another, who seemed to be less intimidated by the heavily armoured Time than the others seemed to be. “Cut the crap, we’re here for Link Lon, the criminal who kidnapped the princess. Move aside and allow us to arrest him, or we’ll take you in too for obstruction of justice!”
Time, Twilight, and now Four, all stood between the guards and Legend. “Alright then,” Time said, holding out his arms in almost a dare…
