It was late at night when the detective received a text message from one Chie Satonaka. [Yukiko, Yosuke, and I are all going out tonight. You should join us, your Senpai miss hanging out with you now that the case is over!]Naoto had let out a sigh, and rubbed her temples, but sent back a message to say that she would meet up with them soon.Unfortunately, even though Naoto checked and double checked, they had either sent her to the wrong location or ended up going somewhere else without telling Naoto that they were leaving.Not long after Naoto sat alone at a table and ordered a simple drink, a familiar blonde walked in.The detective didn’t hesitate to wave him down.It turned out that he had gotten the same text from Chie."Well, since we are both here, we may as well enjoy the night." Naoto hadn’t gotten dressed and left the house for nothing.She recently had a payday, also, so she could afford to spend some money tonight.It took Naoto significantly less alcohol than Kanji before she was sure she would pass out if she continued.The boy was holding his drinks rather well, or at least acting like it.Their waiter impatiently told them that the restaurant was closing in five minutes—so Naoto ordered them both a drink to go and paid for everything. She made sure to tip him well for the trouble, too.The girl didn’t quite want to go home yet, though, so she grabbed his hand and led Kanji to the Riverbank.When they arrived, she made her way to the gazebo and sat herself close to him, not letting go of him.She moved their hands up to her face, resting her lips on his with a content smile on her face.She leaned her head onto his shoulder, letting their still tangled fingers fall into her lap.Noticing that she was likely going to fall asleep soon, Kanji lifted her into his arms like she was a new bride.Slowly, he made his way to his home, enjoying being so close to her.He carried her inside and to his bedroom, gently placing her onto his bed.Planning to sleep on the floor, he covered her with a warm blanket.Before he could get too far, though, a half asleep Naoto grabbed him and looked up at him with sad eyes."What is it, Naoto?" he asked nervously, looking away as the blush made its way to his cheeks."…Please lay with me."He climbed into the bed.She tapped him on the shoulder.He rolled over.She kissed his cheek happily before making herself comfortable in his bed.Kanji wasn’t content with just that, though, and lifted her head with his hand under her chin.If she didn’t want anything to come from this, he could just claim it was the alcohol, and when would he have another chance like this?He placed his lips on hers, giving both of them their first kiss.Naoto returned the kiss a little awkwardly, placing a hand behind his neck to hold him close to her.After their mouths separated, she snuggled into his chest."… Thank you," she said after a while, not even sure if he was awake anymore."Huh? For what?" "I’ve wanted to do that for a while. I hope…that your feelings are mutual.""…Naoto, you idiot." He kissed her again, just a peck this time.The blue haired girl let out a sigh of relief.It was the last sound he heard from her that night, and when he woke up (a little late) there was a note taped to the inside of the door.
