International Tiger Day
International Tiger Day, also known as Global Tiger Day is observed every year on 29th July to raise awareness about conservation of tigers. The goal for the day is to promote the protection of the natural habitat of tigers. In 2006, there were 1,411 tigers, which increased to 1,706 in 2010 and 2,226 in 2014. According to World Wide Fund for Nature, around 3,890 tigers are persisting. Still, a long way to go. Start now and preserve them.
