I read this fanfiction on Ao3 where Carter's leg gets amputated and it gave me inspiration. (No, the kidney image wasn’t intentional, and neither was adding the pictures about increasing dopamine production and addiction… it was just accidental, and I wasn’t specifically looking for those in my biology notes.)

I see a number of fanarts with Chell holding the portal gun with one hand in a way that makes it look like it's actually a prosthetic. Like she only has one hand, and instead of a normal prosthetic hand (or a hook), she's got a portal gun on there.

And I feel like this could make for a fun little AU or something.

I don't really have any ideas beyond that while it would be bad for small movements the gravity scify thing where it can pick up heavy objects really easily alone would make it a very useful prosthetic. And then there's the portals. But it's also like 1am and I'm very tired. Maybe I'll comeback to this later after I've slept.

Or maybe someone else can take this idea and run with it. Please
