Marking their debut appearance on the burgeoning Perth label ProtoCode, acclaimed Adelaide duo V O E return with a rugged new single entitled âWhere You Belongâ. Formed of Tevlo and CARZi â both stellar singers and producers in their own right â the rising Aussie tag-team have taken the drum and bass scene by storm since banding together in 2018, amassing an international following off the back of releases on the globally renowned Liquicity, Chinaâs Unchained Recordings and Black Sun Empireâs Blackout Music NL. Departing from the tender, poppy sonics of their most recent output, âWhere You Belongâ is one of the groupâs most blistering songs to date and a perfect fit for the ProtoCode camp. While CARZi has lent her silky vocals to many of the pairâs latest releases, itâs Tevlo who steps up to the mic on this occasion to lay down an ominous topline. Drawing audible influences from both neurofunk and electronic rock, the track combines distorted stabs with juddering, mechanical whirs and shrieking synth work, reaching an adrenaline-pumping pinnacle.
