i think if you feel as though youre qualified for the position, and since you are learning youre probably open to being wrong and getting corrected if the program allows, you should go for it. esp if it pays good lmao
Yeah, like there is a part of me that thinks I'm not qualified for it, but I HAVE been told by multiple colleagues and family that I am qualified to teach high school level Cree, and I feel like I could teach children Cree in the very least (which, if ive been informed correctly, is the level I'd be teaching. Like apparently my class would be absolute beginners).
Just the thing im also worried about is trying to find the right content to teach with and stretch it over something like a two hour class, because 1. I'm used to creating lesson plans for 40 minute classes, and 2. There's not as much to work with that is available for Cree students to help them learn because its a Native language, which means that I'd probably have to be creating my own resources from the ground up.
And that money is looking VERY friendly lol. But thank you!!!
