I had this silly idea for a video while we were all wearing cloaks, and I’m lucky they were up for it😂And yes, it was very cold

the cosplayers I've been following for 3 years, the ones who inspired me to make friends in college, the ones I met just 2 months ago at Planet Comicon Kansas City, have had a small falling out. Dajackies has split ways from Athena Grimes, Halcybella, Raine Emery, and Prototype.Fox
A fan on reddit managed to get in contact with Jackie, and she confirmed that she has split ways. There was a personal conflict where they couldn't find a compromise. However, she insisted that there is no ill will or bad blood, no bad guy or "who wronged who" and that they still support each other as cosplayers and content creators, but that she's not really part of their group anymore.
I know it's silly, but it's kind of a bummer to see such a close knit group of friends, such kind and genuine people, have this happen. Here's to hoping some sort of resolution comes someday, especially with pride month coming up during which they usually do a fantasy cosplay themed around pride flags.
My main goal was to meet some incredible cosplayers at Planet Comicon! (The whole reason I came here) I got to meet Athena Grimes, Halcybella, Dajackies, and Prototype Fox (Raine Emery was busy as a judge for cosplay competitions all day today, but considering I never thought I would meet any of these people, 4/5 is incredible).
I've been watching these five make cosplay content for the past 3 years, and they have had such a positive impact on me. They're all so talented and passionate, and they put so much effort and creativity into something they do for fun. They're all so wonderful and genuinely kind, but most of all, I love the message they put out of being yourself, unabashedly, and not letting the world get you down for that. I have always struggled with that, and when I started college, I was resigned to spending these years alone. But then about halfway into my first year, I started seeing these people on YouTube, and then Instagram and Twitch. I was inspired, and I began to open up to people more, and now towards the end of my fourth year I have made so many friends, and a big part of that is due to these incredible people, because I saw what they do, and I thought to myself, if these five can go out in public, in full cosplay, without fear or shame, what's wrong with me just being a nerd, being myself?
It was wonderful actually getting to meet them face-to-face, they're all so kind (Jackie actually recognized me from my username and immediately went "omg I know you! Can I hug you?" which was so sweet). I also made each of them a playing card (specifically chosen for each based on meanings and research) and they all seemed to legitimately love them so much, they each thanked me and immediately said they would be on display on a desk or shelf (I gave Raine's to Bella, she assured me it would be delivered safely).
Thank you Planet Comicon for inviting these people, and thank you wonderful cosplayers so much for being such an inspiration just by being yourselves!
