This is a shipping chart for Overwatch. I do not ship many of these, but as we know, in the world of fandoms, nothing matters beyond that two characters who exist will be shipped together.

Look man if the jankyass way Nexus Prime interfaces with the other AOTP combiners isn't people's wake-up call that this current style of them is doodoo caca then idk what will be - If they actually formed limbs and torsos and combined properly like in CW/POTP, none of this would be an issue! SS86 Devastator, HasLab Liokaiser and the various versions of Legacy Volcanicus all prove that they can still do this properly! There is no need for these Super Mode-ass frames or limb bots basically just being oversized minicons!

This isn't to say that I dislike the constituent figures - You've seen me get AOTP Brawl and Blast Off lately - nor even that I dislike Nexus Prime, just that I find the frame combiner style to be an immense half measure that I feel misses the point of what makes characters like these so interesting. Sure, this ultimately probably doesn't mean much coming from me seeing as I don't complete combiner teams, but frankly I never would with this current zeitgeist anyway! Why would I spend nearly £100 on a team leader and his Large Ugly Object when he could've been, say, a £55 leader class figure or something?

Alias Ideas for some Marvel characters

Jean Grey: Renewal

I want Jean to be able to be her own character both with and without the Phoenix Force. I think this fits both her Phoenix connection and mental renewal (psychological, spiritual, wellness, etc)

Jubilee: Jùhuì Lee

For this one I wanted to change a character's real name rather than the alias. Jubilation Lee always felt off, and while I know she's an 80s kid and the daughter of Hong Kong immigrants, I still wish she had a more fitting name. Jùhuì, according to Google, is the Chinese word for "gathering/party", a time of jubilation and fireworks.

Forge: Daniel Vóhpevo'e

I wanted to give Forge a full name, and while his first name is sometimes stated to be Daniel, he's never had a consistent surname. However, he once used the alias "Dr Silvercloud." Knowing that Forge is Cheyenne, I wanted to give him a fitting surname. From what I could find (and keep in mind Google doesn't have the best sources for this sort of thing), the word for silver (or maybe white) is "vóhpe" and the word for cloud is "vo'e", so putting those together gives us a complete surname.

Lucas Bishop: Conduit

This feels kinda sci-fi-esque and fits his power of absorbing energy and releasing it

Emma Frost: Diamonique

my aunt, a long-time X-Men fan, keeps thinking this is her hero name, and it honestly works. It feels kinda fancy and flirty and fits in her signature Diamond quality in there

Peter Eisenhardt: Silverbolt

This would be the X-Men movie universe Quicksilver as a separate character. Marvel is no stranger when it comes to adapting the comics around the movies, and it wouldn't be difficult to imagine Magneto having another kid out there with speed powers after the retcon of Wanda and Pietro not being his actual kids

Kuan-Yin Xorn: Star-Mind

This one is pretty simple

Jessie Drake: Doppel or Flux

Jessie Drake is the first ever transgender character in Marvel Comics, and she returned briefly with Black Cat in a Pride Month comic a couple years ago

Kitty Pryde: Breach

I've long struggled to find a perfect name for Kitty Pryde to fit her intangibility powers, and this one feels strong to me

Sebastian Shaw: Entropy or Siphon

Both of these are villainous names fitting his energy-absorption powers, both sound threatening

Jon Ironfire: Crucible

"A heat-resistant container used in metallurgy" fitting for the guy who turns his blood into molten metal and then solidifies it

Trevor Hawkins: Optic

Simple but effective

Charli Ramsey: Okáğa

Now I could be completely wrong, but according to the Glosbe Lakota to English dictionary, this is the Lakota word for "arrow". Also, I love Charli and really hope they join the Prime Marvel comic universe in some way

Lejori Zakaria: Kajur

Another character I love from the new Ultimate universe, once again I could be wrong but a couple websites say this is the Marshallese word for "strength, power, might, force"

America Chavez: Freedom

Perhaps somewhat cheesy, but I feel it fits given her character and powers

Aaron Fischer: Vanguard

Simple but it fits

Namor: Marinero

I largely enjoy the Mesoamerican reinterpretation of Namor in the MCU, and I'm glad Rivals continued it. This also connects to his original hero alias/title of Sub-Mariner.

Elsa Bloodstone: Hellhunter

A bit simple but it works I think

Jennifer Walters: Shattersmash

This lets her be more her own person separate from Bruce, and also subtly references "to shatter the glass ceiling"

Simon Williams: Ion

I know he's called Wonder Man cuz he's a movie star, but I feel like if they made him use a more serious alias, this would be fitting

Tosin Oduye: Puma

This feels like a good option separate from panther. It's another big cat.

Kamala Khan: Outreach

If they ever wanted her to branch away from Carol more, this could be a fitting name

Bertha Crawford: Ample

I know the Great Lakes Avengers have largely been a joke group, but if ever made more serious, this coukd be a better name for Bertha

There are layers to this. Earlier in the episode, Xena discovers her secret while they're sharing a locker room. A woman she has got naked with turned out to be trans. It's the exact scenario terfs are always fear-mongering about, but Xena just shrugs it off.

Also, the kiss was a big deal not just because it was gay but because the trans actress was HIV positive. They wanted to show the world that you can't contract HIV just from kissing someone. Bear in mind, the AIDS crisis was still fresh on people's minds in the 90s.
