Overview: So as an easy observation Derse would be heavily influenced by the Inferno (I personally believe that the phrase “Abandon all hope, ye who enter here” would be over the entrance to the Obsidian Keep or the worst dungeon they have) along with various aesthetic inspirations from the rings and sub rings of Hell. Prospit and the Battlefield, though this is less obvious, would be based on Purgatory. Prospit would be based on the less intense Rings with the Battlefield would get the more intense ones. Skaia would obviously be based on Heaven (or Paradisio)

How This Would Affect Your Underlings: Aesthetically, the underlings would be influenced mostly aesthetically by the tattoo gun. Underlings would have these dark savage thick lines crawling all over their bodies, trailing into sharp point along their limbs. The aesthetics of the Underlings would also be heaven and hell themed with the lower tiers of them being more demonic looking and the higher tiers more angelic. However, that tattoo gun was not only for show. Underlings can now employ a special effect on their attacks now, that effect being <<After-Effect>>. <<After-Effect>> Works by leaving smears through the space the attack passed through which acts like a thorn bush type of obstacle and the amount of time it last can increase as the difficulty of the Underling increase. As you can tell, you have added some definite extra difficulty to your session.

How This Would Affect Your Monarchies: The Dersite and Prospitian Monarchs are like the Malevolent Rulers of Hell and the Benevolent Angels of Purgatory and Heaven, respectively. Besides the holly and hellish aesthetics of the Monarchies both would have full body tattoos. The Dersites would have lines that are harsh and savage, more so than the Underlings, which are darker than the Void. The Prospitians would have them just as dark, however, these would be elegant and sweeping whorls. Personality-wise it’s a little different this time around, The Black Monarchs are more like a “corrupted” Virgil acting more as a hindrance than as a guide; conversely, The White Monarchy would be like a “hollow” Beatrice. The White Monarchy would act as an ally, but purely because they know that it is their purpose to do that. This puts them at a very unusual tension. The Black Monarchs are now absurdly angry at Skaia, and the White know that they must protect Skaia at all cost. Beyond that there is not much very special about their relations. Oh yeah, remember <<After-Effect>>? Yeah, the Monarchs have that too, and <<After-Use>> which allows them to use the Smears as a weapon to assist in the fight. The Monarchs have the longest amount of time to keep their Smears and can arrange them to make traps easier via <<After-Use>>. I would not advise fighting the Monarchies unless/until you absolutely have to.

How This Affects Your Sprite: I debated with myself for a while on how to make the Sprite here, but after much deliberation I have decided on this. Dantesprite. Now, I noticed that your icon was a drawing of what I assumed to be you as God-Tier, so  I looked into it and was glad to have it confirmed because it gives me an excuse to use some of the ideas that I had. Now, I know that Dante’s writing is a little…archaic. However, I was able to tell that Dante was kind of whiny (Overly Sarcastic Productions reinforced that for me though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) and he just sort of whines his way into your heart. Though, this time he can recognize that the Monarchies are made from broken versions of those important to him, Virgil and Beatrice. We’ll give him that at least. However, due to this Dantesprite is conflicted and torn apart in his heart and so he is going to be less useful; to survive you will need to learn how to use your heart powers and rectify the internal conflict he is experiencing. Once he is more useful, thankfully, you don’t have to learn Latin or Italian to understand his advice albiet it is wordy and filled with archaic English. Oh yeah, by the way; he has tattoo gun needle arms. Why? Because why not?

What if I prototyped a fedora hat and second-prototyped my cat? (thanks in advance)

Well, this is certainly an interesting ask. (Honestly I really enjoy your asks) I’m gonna be treating this as both as a Pre-Entry. This one is certainly thought provoking, though definitely enjoyable!

Overview: The rules of the Battlefield wouldn’t be drastically rewritten (always a plus). Underlings would take on some higher combat ability as would the Monarchies. The sprite would be…interesting, to say the least.

But I really just want to jump into this one, I took a lot of notes for this one

How This Affects Your Underlings: As I have stated before on this blog, Sburb is not always literal and often takes influence from your cultural perspective (or rather, mine, in this case) so what I’m running with is, personality-wise, they would probably organize into small groupings (around 3-5) with a ringleader who holds things over the others and extorts them. They would treat their groups shitty, but definitely displaying loyalty. Groups would often avoid each other, displaying introverted and independent behavior, rarely making groups larger than 5. Packs would often raid your consorts and their villages, but not to terrorize them, (not usually, but occasionally that too) rather they would be more interested in stealing things of value. Things such as Boondollars. Think early American gangster with the attitudes of the stereotypical Neckbeard and cat. Physically they would gain tufts of fur along their carapaces on vital areas, think like a lion’s mane. Also they would develop a much snazzier sense of style (like suits and such). But wait, what about physical traits from the Neckbeards I hear you ask (probably not), but I have thought of them! Remember the fur from the cat and how it developed around vital areas? Well, there are also thinner areas of fur which grow like Mutton Chops, Neck Beards, Pencil ‘Staches, and other various kinda cringy facial hair styles.

How This Would Affect Your Monarchies: Now, this is when we get really into personality. This is because the Monarchs are more affected by the personality (and this is where I address Prospit-Derse relations). This is really the area that makes this session really unique in that, Prospit and Derse are treated more like crime families than kingdoms. Granted the kind of crime families are different from each other and how they treat their “subjects” who are more like children and nephews and nieces and such. The Black Monarchs are like the Patriarch and Matriarch of a crime family that extorts their family for their own game, constantly sending them out on tasks to feed their desires. The Black Monarchs are also very detached from their “family” relying on the Archagent and Dignitary to know what’s going on, but make no mistake.The Monarchs hold the most power over Derse.The White Monarchs “family” dynamic is a little different. In the concept, their dynamic is all about the good of the “family”. All for the good of the “family”. The White Monarchy is not above extorting Consorts for the Good of the “Family” either, like I said, all for the Good of the “Family”. Interestingly, though, the Players would be seen as “adopted” by the Prospitian Family, even as the Dersites admire their Players. Which could lead to some interesting situations.

How This Affects Your Sprite: Finally, we have reached one of my favorite parts of this analysis, the Sprite. Say hello to Al-Pawchinosprite. (I didn’t know the gender of your cat so I’m just defaulting to they) I’m not even gonna lie on this. Al-Pawchinosprite is very rude. They act as if they’re the head of some huge crime family, renowned and infamous, and as if you’re their disappointment of a goody goody child. They’re possessive of everything they think they own, and yes, that includes you. Which is good for protection when you’re taking care of some other task. They sit quietly, scheming, thinking of grand heists and how to carry them out. You want information? You gotta do something for your good ol’ Uncle Al-Pawchino. Usually the tasks they send you on to earn the information isn’t hard. However, if you aren’t supposed to know it yet, their Sprite programming kicks in and the tasks they give you are nigh impossible. Earn your Sprite’s trust and they won’t be any less rude to you, but they will definitely be more helpful.

One of my characters (a Seer of Time) happens to have a dead body lying around, so I'm thinking that she may prototype it. Said person isn't a player in the session, but I have her pegged as an Heir of Mind if that helps. If she's prototyped pre-entry, how will that affect things? Would prototyping her be even a vaguely good idea? Thanks!

Actually this is probably one of the most sensible asks I’ve received! Dead bodies are actually the most common prototypings, but…um…why does she have a dead body lying around?

(Sorry this took so long I’ve been so busy)

Overview: Surprisingly these types of prototypings have some of the least adverse side effects, provided the person isn’t special (like god tier or yourself). There’s honestly nothing wrong with prototyping a dead body, the problem is usually with self-prototyping. The rules aren’t drastically rewritten, your Underlings aren’t thrown into a tissy, The Monarchies aren’t thrown into weird situations. It’s pretty relieving, actually.

How This Would Affect Your Underlings: Now, since you specified the bodies classpect, I can actually go into more detail! The heir is the passive controlling class, so your Underlings would actually be smarter and logical. However, the Underlings may not always be hostile due to this, you could actually negotiate with them (although they may not be able to communicate via human speech, but they seem to be able to read your writing!) to develop a tenuous form of peace. Maybe this could begin your Quest, forcing you to have to look through the timelines to see where you should make which decision. The Underlings would take on some of the physical traits of the Heir, mostly in an aesthetic way as humans aren’t particularly hard to kill.

How This Would Affect Your Monarchs: Your Monarchs are now extremely smart, logical. Always strategizing, always scheming, seemingly apathetic. Always playing the long game. The Black Monarchs may actually be more likely to ally themselves with, or even assist, the Derse Dreamers to eventually make a play with them. The White might actually care more about their people than they appear to, but making decisions to try to make sure they survive or win. Physically the Monarchs would look like the Heir as well, taking on facial details, possibly hair. Also they may even take on vocal patterns of the Heir.

How This Would Affect Your Sprite: Your sprite, now dubbed Heirsprite by me, would undeniably be confused by the whole endeavor, they’ve been dead for a hot minute (I have no idea how long they’ve been dead) and depending on how long they were dead they could have some very adverse side effects. Think Jadesprite and Rosesprite, granted that’s a bit of a shaky example, but Jadesprite was implied to be dead for a very long time and thus adjusted to being dead. In contrast, Rosesprite was dead for a comparably much shorter amount of time, so it was more like she took a quick nap. Anyways, Heirsprite would be very heavily influenced by their sprite programming so it’s entirely possible that they would just accept their new place in the universe (read: Medium). As they are very tuned into the Mind aspect (amplified further by the prototyping) they are very strategically aligned. Overall, very helpful!

To answer your question in the most basic way, prototyping that body is definitely a good idea!

Mage of Blood who prototyped a dragon figure?

So, this took longer than the others because I wanted to look into how a Mage of Blood might affect their session, directly or indirectly. (I love @creative-classpect‘s work in the classpect analysis department and I usually defer to their ideas when I’m unsure of something or I just haven’t thought of something that I like better) Anyways, we actually have something similar to this shown in the webcomic! As little as we know of it, in the Trolls session Terezi prototyped her dead dragon lusus (close enough) and we saw that their Underlings developed wings, at least some of them. Now, since you are not actually prototyping a dragon, this leaves some wiggle room for imagination.

Overview: As a whole I’m going to be using the Western Dragon model as it’s more common among the audience and I just know more about it. In reference to Prospit-Derse relations they probably plunder bases and keeps on the Battlefield more often, not just for strategic advantage, but for the treasure that seems to be much more abundant. Well, it may not be more abundant than more apparent. The Monarchies would have a desire for treasure and be very protective of their own and would likely treat each other with draconic attitudes. Think of how Jack Noir is with everybody in the cruelty factor and apply that to the Prospitians and Dersites with how they treat each other. 

How This Would Affect Your Underlings: Due to your Underlings taking on physical traits of a Dragon some might develop wings and some might develop the ability to breathe fire and some, like basilisks, would have both! This would make Imps, specifically, a little bit more of a pain as they can now either glide or spew a meager flame at you. Ogres would, more likely than not, just develop fire- breathing which is a setback but her at least they can’t fly. Personality-wise, your Underlings would be a lot more cruel, and vicious, and probably steal your shiny stuff and jewelry. They would also be a little bit smarter, putting you at another little disadvantage as dragons are notoriously clever. The Underlings might also be capable of imitating human speech, or full blown human speech, as a method to either trick you into a false alliance or to shock you into an opening they can take advantage of.

How This Would Affect Your Monarchs: You thought the Black Queen and King were ruthless before? Oh boy, you have no idea. The Black Monarchs would inherit all the cruelty and primordial wrath that dragons are associated with. And if you steal any of their treasure? Hell could not hide you from their Wrath. On the other hand, The White Monarchs would be less generous with the Heros than they would normally be and much more greedy. However, that is not to say they would not be helpful to the Players, just a bit more touchy.

How This Would Affect Your Sprite: Dragons are already cage-y and reluctant to help anybody, so getting help from your sprite is gonna be a little bit more difficult than usual and you might have to appease them with treasure or various shiny items. Dragonsprite would be a little like a cat, temperamental and independant, but earn its respect and you shouldn’t have any problems with it. (Although I recommend tier-2 prototyping it with something more accommodating)

I don’t know why you people keep self-prototyping, it is not a good idea, I warned you people.

Overview: Okay, so, first of all; I am treating this as a double pre-entry prototype to make this more streamlined for myself. Prototyping yourself immediately influences the Incipisphere entirely, your Battlefield has rules stemmed from your personality and since your plush has none, only your personality as it is the strongest. Sure your spirte is a little more meek and a little different from you but they are you. The Monarchs take on bits of your personalities, the Underlings look like you.

Could you look at your own visage and kill something with it?

How This Affects Your Underlings: The Underlings take on physical traits of yourself and of your plush, most notably you. They take on personality traits of yourself as well. You are literally fighting against warped versions of yourself. This is actually a very interesting path for a Page, as Pages tend to become beacons of their aspect. This could be the start of your Quest Path, actually, you’ve become the first beacon of Heart. However, with Pages not being very useful in the early game this would most likely play against you and affect you negatively as you are having to fight against splinters of yourself and your personality.

How This Would Affect Your Monarchs: Surprise! Your Monarchs will look like a you as a Carapacian-Bunny-Furry! Also they would have the absolute best and worst of your personality, with the skittishness of your bunny as well. Most likely, the Black Monarchs would inherit the worst of your personality and amplify it, making you stare your worsts directly into your own face. The White Monarchs would definitely inherit the best of your personality, but probably with a few of your less than favourable ones. And guess what? The Dersite-Prospitian War is essentially the personifications of your best and worst literally at war with each other, throwing away Carapacian lives. You’ll have to live with that.

How This Affects Your Sprite: Y/Nsprite, who I’ll be calling Pagesprite for this post, could very well despise you. They might not express this due to the meekness inherited from the bunny plush, but it is definitely a possibility that Pagesprite could hold contempt for you. Due to this, Pagesprite might not be very helpful and you need to inspire them that they are their own self with your budding powers to make sure that you are able to play the game correctly and actually survive. Pagesprite will definitely have insecurities, especially relating to their self-image, they will most likely view theirself as a “knock off” version of you. A problem you will have to help them overcome.

Seriously everybody, stop prototyping yourselves. I keep telling you it’s dangerous, if you’re going to do it, try to keep it post-entry. Anyways, this ask was a lot of fun! I may be getting these out kind of slow right now, but please keep sending me asks!

what if said prototyping involved some sort of fluffy, well-loved stuffed animal? I mean anything sharp would probs cut through it easily but the love may get in the way. or maybe bc of the love, you can bring them to your side? thank u for answering

So I realize that this is probably that Page of Heart and i should have considered it in my last analysis, too late now though. I’m going to treat it as its own separate ask because I love analyzing the Underlings.

How This Would Affect Your Underlings: Okay so, some Underlings can actually be pacified! Usually it’s Imps as they’re the weakest, have and actual survival instinct when it comes to the Players, and they’re basically cannon fodder. Anyways, this could actually present in your Underlings as a reluctance to try to kill you. Honestly though, your Underlings are supposed to be dangerous and try to kill you so I wouldn’t recommend trying to placate your Underlings, but honestly who am I to tell you how to play your Session? As you ascend higher into the hierarchy of the Underlings attempting to mollify and pacify them, it will get harder and harder. They will be less and less receptive to your advances of peace. Now, the physical traits. Believe it or not, being fluffy and having a lot of fur would make it harder to cut into or smash their carapaces. It acts as a shock absorber, sort of. It’s the same reason lions have manes! It’s harder to cut into, think like cutting into really long carpet, and harder to smash and keep the same force, as it gets distributed into the rest of the hair/fur. Honestly, I recommend long, stabbing instruments.

This one was really fun and pretty unique! I’d love to get some more unusual and imaginative asks! Also, I’d love to actually get into contact with anyone who I’ve answered or people who just want to talk! (Literally about anything, I’m probably up for it)

ok so wait what if you prototyped green eggs and ham (seperately)

Okay so, not your fault, but for future reference anyone leaving an ask please specify the order and whether they were pre- or post-entry as each of those are fairly important.

With that out of the way lets move onto the analysis! (Please go easy on me I haven’t read Green Eggs and Ham in like 12 years)

Overview: Generally, this will affect your Session in a very Seuss way. The Battlefield, itself, would have nonsensical rules in relation to its own rules of reality as the Battlefield is advanced by the prototypings. As I’m treating both as being prototyped before your entry, the in between period is, thus, negligible and makes no difference. However, once the ham is prototyped with Greeneggssprite it would become the famed Sam-I-sprite who, while annoying in his pestering, would be very helpful as he would encourage you to try different solutions especially when things are difficult. The Monarchy relations would be a little different than what we’re used to in that while they would be warring Prospit would be constantly trying to reach a state of peace with Derse and even accepting Dersite Deserters to the Prospitian side and Planet.

How This Affects Your Underlings: Well, the eggs would tinge the Underlings themselves green and make their bodies less carapacian and more gooey, the ham would make their bodies more meaty and they would have the odor of ham (you know the smell trust me) which would actually make it harder to kill them. With a hard carapace all you have to do is break into it and you all good, but with a meaty gooey body you have to get through their flesh and you risk the possibility of getting your weapon stuck in them. Since everything else is affected in a Seuss-like way, so too are the Underlings. Underlings are now more likely to approach you, albeit slightly less hostile. However, do not take that lightly as Underlings may also be able to imitate human speech, Seuss-y as it may be. So yeah, be careful and vicious.

How This Affects Your Monarchs: The Monarchs would develop bodies similar to the Underlings, however their personalities would be far more developed. The Black Monarchs would be very hostile and very adamantly against change and would overall be very close-minded about just about everything. The White Monarchs, while having developed the annoying almost trickster-like tendencies of Sam-I-Am, would be far more open to new things and would attempt to broker peace between the two planets with constant and unending sending of ambassadors to delegate peace and to open up the mind of the Black Monarchs. The White Monarchs would even be accepting of Dersites who did not want to align themselves with the Black Monarchs, or even just do not want to fight in the war, onto Prospit.

How This Affects Your Sprite: Ah yes, the fabled Sam-I-sprite. Finally we have reached analyzing him specifically. Sam-I-sprite is a very helpful sprite. He is ever present as he is constantly giving his officious suggestions. While he is definitely an annoyance, he is very creative and can help bring out your own creativity as you get used to him. He isn’t very good at keeping his mouth shut when it comes to keeping information from his player, provided the question is asked, so as long as you have the right questions you can get the answers. His sprite programming will kick in on certain questions and actions, though, so he cant be a complete crutch. Where he can’t go he will message you while you’re there, providing his officious advice. So yeah, there’s no escaping this sprite.

If a player were able to prototype themselves, would the underlings be like them? Personality wise or phisically wise? Thank you in advance (By the way, loved the idea for the blog!)

Well the thing is, as a general rule, self-prototyping is dangerous. The incipisphere in its entirety is affected by what you prototype, Underlings take on both physical and mental traits associated with the item/entity prototyped and the environment of the Battlefield is affected along with how Derse and Prospit interact with each other. So, to answer your question, both. And to expand on it: Do Not.
