Always have and always will be proud to be a Palestinian woman. My pride and love for my country is beyond words could ever express, Palestine is Home. A home I never got a chance to be in but will be one day in the near future. A home that’s been terrorised and colonised to no end, a home where F16’s dropping bombs down like rain has become a norm, a home where being kidnaped, killed or taken away from your house has become a norm but through all the bloodshed, tears and screams; Palestine continues to be home, a place to live and love in, a place where dreams could come true, a place where you can fall in love, a place where you could be yourself, a place you could call home. Hamas or Fateh? Neither. We are one damn nation that live under the same sky and on the same land, we resist and fight for our rights and land, forever and always. Info about the National Palestinian Solidarity Day: In 1977, the General Assembly called for the annual observance of 29 November as the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People (resolution 32/40 B). On that day, in 1947, the Assembly adopted the resolution on the partition of Palestine (resolution 181 (II)) (link in bio) In resolution 60/37 of 1 December 2005, the Assembly requested the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People and the Division for Palestinian Rights, as part of the observance of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People on 29 November, to continue to organize an annual exhibit on Palestinian rights or a cultural event in cooperation with the Permanent Observer Mission of Palestine to the UN. The resolution on the observance of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People also encouraged Member States to continue to give the widest support and publicity to the observance of the Day of Solidarity, and this year’s observance has an added significance as 2017 marks 50 years since the start of the 1967 Arab-Israeli war. #nationalpalestineday #vivapalestina #proudpalistinian #paliroots #rafeefziadah
