Prove Thyself #1 (Intro) - Dwight meets Bubba
Dwight was on the run. His sneakers shuffling the mud underneath, leaving stains on both his shoes and his trousers, as he fled from the killer who desperately tried to get a hold of him. His weapon of choice: a chainsaw. The young man’s eyes widened in terror as he looked over his shoulder to estimate the distance between them, realizing that the much taller figure was getting dangerously close as he used this chainsaw as an extension of his arm. The beast with the disfigured face was strong enough to hold the tool with just one hand but before Dwight could worry about what would happen to him if the other hand got a hold of his collar, he managed a quick turn, dodging another attack that missed him by a few inches. The attacker hit a metal pole instead, giving him enough time to slide his body over an old car wreck, leaving splinters of old varnish on his clothing.
The creature approached the car on the opposite side, drifting to a hold as both breathed heavily, leaving white clouds in the cold air which ascended into the night sky above. He stared into the monster's ugly face, only a few meters of wreckage between them to ensure his safety.
Dwight eyed his left and right, trying to analyse the fastest way out of this situation that could potentially get him killed, his palms sweaty, clutching to the rusty metal beneath him. A moment of uncertain silence caught his attention as Leatherface - as the other survivors affectionately dubbed him, brought his chainsaw to a hold. His dark eyes focusing on his prey. They locked stares for an awkward moment. Dwight's heart pounding in his ears as the monster opened his mouth to reveal an uneven pair of teeth, unleashing a quiet groan.
"You... you don't have to do this...", the young man tried to assure the monster with a nervous whisper. He believed, if only for a second, to see something human in Leatherface’s behavior. It almost seemed as if he got tired of chasing after these people, looping around the same obstacles over and over again, so close yet always just out of his reach. "You... You must be tired, too? Just like me..." - "Uhn?" - "Me, yeah...", Dwight pointed at his own chest, realizing - to his bewilderment that the killer was mimicking his movement, also pointing at himself. "My name is Dwight... What... What is your name?" - "Uhn!", the big figure in front of him huffed, trying to catch his breath, thinking, forming words in his brain that just would not come out. "Baw! Bawba.", he wheezed, uncertain if he even should talk to this little man on the other side of the car. But something about him just seemed to remind him of a person from a past life. A friend? A relative? Maybe his own brother... "Bubba...?", Dwight repeated carefully. The Leatherface nodded strongly, almost hitting his own head off the chainsaw he was holding in his hands. "Woah, watch out! Why don't you... put that down for a second? And we... talk? We can talk? Talk it all out... Nobody needs to get hurt!", the young survivor chuckled nervously not really knowing if what he was doing was a smart thing to do. The monster seemed confused about this proposal, tilting his head like a curious puppy.
Dwight wasn't even sure if he could understand him but it was the first time he ever saw some humanity in one of the Entity's pawns. And the first time for sure he talked to one of the killers... It was more a sense of hope that there might be a way to escape him than an actually thought of friendship. He was still what he was before the encounter. A murderer, a monster, something you'd rather not meet in the dark of night - or ever. And nothing that would happen now could change that. Awaiting an answer or any kind of response, he focused on Bubba’s face, until suddenly somebody called out his name in the distance, dashing through bushes Steve came to an abrupt halt as he laid eyes on the sight. "Worst possible timing...", Dwight whispered to himself, shaking his head. He sure was grateful that his new friend seemed to be looking out for the other survivors and started to worry, looking for him, but his sudden shout startled Leatherface, causing him to scream in agony, revving his chainsaw until fully powered on. With a swift but violent motion he rammed the tool into the roof of the car and started sawing away to make way for Dwight. The young man didn't think twice about turning and running away into Steve's direction for a brief moment of coverage behind the bushes. They disappeared out of Leatherface's field of vision but he knew exactly which direction they went and as soon as the wreckage made way for him he stomped after them with a vicious howl only an animal could release.

thinking about ace visconti moodboard
ace: h-
me:
What I’m thinking: Ace is the very definition of persona; his charm and personality is almost surely a farce, since in the gambling business it’s all about bluffing. He’s most likely a compulsive liar with terrible impulse control, having canonically grown up from a poorer background, and I think the survivors in the Fog are the first people to give a damn about him and, in turn, he learns to not be as selfish or afraid to express himself for how he truly feels. I love that about him; the idea of a broken man trying to force himself together as best he can because no one else cares, until they do. He has a lot more depth than you’d think at first glance.
What I say out loud:
