The reason why guys/girls don’t end up with whom they were created for is because of this modern day way of forming a relationship, and though it seems easier for girls to show affection, it could be hurtful because we’re trying to degrade the men-stewardship. Let us keep our mysterious side of being pursued and wait for one brave man to conquer our hearts, and while waiting, busy yourself on becoming the woman your future husband would want you to be. In this sense, we’re helping that one brave man to conquer your heart with full confidence and not by mediocrity.

CONSISTENT

Lord,
Yesterday I made a decision to be an industrious manager and planner in my home. I started some new ideas that I want to follow through to completion.
Sometimes it's easy to get caught up in a moment of enthusiasm and make resolutions--and then when day-to-day reality sets in, get tired and begin compromising.
Give me wisdom, that I may be consistent in my new outlook...not just impulsively reorganizing and then falling back into the same old habits. But, steadily working toward order and the proper establishment of priorities in my home.
Help me to be strong when the temptation comes to put aside daily tasks for some other activity which appears more inviting. There will always be that kind of struggle I suppose, but help me to have a real excitement about my duties that will make me want to keep the right perspective.
Show me the importance of each day. Keep me remembering that the job will be easier to manage if I maintain daily performance standards, than if I let things slide and then have to play "catch-up".
Help me to fight the flesh when my body says, "I'm tired". Remind me that You will give me strength for each day's service, if I trust You.
Teach me true discipleship and enable me to view my household as a ministry. Let me learn to deny myself daily and follow in Your footsteps as a servant.
I know You have much to teach me and it probably isn't going to happen overnight...but one day at a time--as I apply myself on a regular basis.
Don't let me be discouraged by the great amount of work I have to do--but keep my mind on what I'm able to accomplish each day...which will eventually get me where I want to be.

INDUSTRIOUS

Lord,
I thank You for giving me the ability to manage my household. Thank You for helping me to see it as an industry that has several departments or operations that need to be coordinated with each other--in order for the total production to run smoothly. Continue to open my eyes and let me see the "big picture".
Show me myself as You see me. You have entrusted this task to me. You would not assign me something I was not capable of doing. You have purposely placed these responsibilities in my charge for my benefit.
When I'm doing laundry, help me not to think of it as just "more dirty clothes", but as an important part of our family's well being. We all function better when there are clean clothes in our closets and drawers. Let me think of the good feeling it gives my family--whether they mention it, or not.
When I make the bed--let me make it as if You were going to be sleeping in it. Help me to maintain our house as if You might be showing up at the door in the flesh.
When I plan our menu, help me to be as inspired as I would be if we were entertaining at every meal.
Help me to do all my work cheerfully and with enthusiasm that doesn't wear out. Don't let me make my husband feel he "owes me" because I do so much for him--but let me truly accept serving him as an honor.
I know I could "get by" without taking this job so seriously, but I have committed myself to excellence, and You're showing me that these things are a big part of it. Thank You for placing me in this position and help me to be an industrious manager today, so that my husband will be blessed.
