Proverbs 3:7 (NASB1995) - Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and turn away from evil.
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
Proverbs 3:7
Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD , and turn away from evil.
Proverbs 3:7
And because the midwives feared God, He gave them families of their own. Exodus 1:21
The king of Egypt oppressed the Israelites because they multiplied too rapidly and he feared they might side with their enemies in case of war. He therefore ordered the midwives to kill all males born to the Hebrews. The midwives however, feared God and wouldn’t carry out such edict (v. 17). Choose to obey God rather than man. Who would have thought that the poor midwives could have the courage to disobey Pharaoh? They chose to die rather than to disobey God. Such should be our stand concerning evil. When you do that, God is sure to take care of you and to bless you as He did the midwives. Obey God alone and God will be pleased with you.
Be not wise in thine own eyes: Fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
Proverbs 3:7 KJV

-Proverbs 3:7
