Their first house is a reno that Harry completely redoes, so it’s all theirs. It’s got a massive kitchen, a studio for Zayn and an office for Harry and plenty of space for their friends and so much light everywhere. It’s got quirks everywhere, because Harry let his imagination go wild, and Zayn loves it for that–that Harry made a home for them.

Zayn writes so many songs for Harry. So many. He doesn’t pretend they aren’t for him, and Harry plays them all with gusto all the time. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t go a little blushy and melty when Zayn sings them to him, his voice soft and all the words just for Harry, not for the world at all.

Louis subjects Harry to a very intensive interrogation the first time he meets him, which Harry meets with a placidness that Louis can’t tell if it’s obliviousness or cleverness. He deflects every one of Louis’s questions with either frankness or some non sequiter that distracts Louis completely. But he ends up liking him, somehow. And he sees how he is with Zayn, how he makes him smile, how he calms him down in a way that Louis had worried about, and he can’t help but like him for that.
