Did some character busts over on Twitter for fun! In theory, this is the (initial) cast of a (nonexistent) Power Rangers team: Power Rangers Royal Spirits!

Disclaimer: this is not, and probably never will be, a real Power Rangers series. Partially because there’s no Sentai series to base it on, and Power Rangers never does completely original ideas.
This series’ theme is based around famous swords. The Rangers are each descended from the legendary (real or fictional) kings, queens, and etc. who originally wielded the swords. They’re also all college-age.
Ross Stiegerwald is the Red Ranger. He wields the sword Hrunting, and is descended from Beowulf. He majors in classics and ancient literature.
Matty (Mathilda) Beaumont is the Blue Ranger. She wields the sword Joyeuse, and is descended from Charlemagne. She is undecided in her major (I’m kicking around the idea of having her do photography?).
Chikelu Iherjika is the Yellow Ranger. He wields the sword Mmaagha Kamalu, and is descended from the Kamalu kings. He majors in economics and political science.
Bahira Alavi is the Green Ranger. She wields the sword Zulfiqar, and is descended from Ali ibn Abi Talib. She majors in education and sociology. (And yes, she is Muslim!)
George Izumo is the White Ranger. He wields the sword Yawarakai-Te, and is descended from Masamune. He majors in creative writing, with an emphasis in long-form fiction.
Nora (Eleanora) Diaz is the Gold Ranger (and the Sixth). She wields the sword Tizona, and is descended from El Cid (Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar). She majors in art history and artifact restoration.
And that’s all of them! I have a couple more ideas for Rangers, associated with a few more swords...maybe in a few weeks I’ll come back to it, lol.
