One of my biggest pet peeves is when people refer to people by their Anglicized name. I recently saw Viktoria Luise of Prussia styled as Victoria Louise, anyone can clearly see her real name and know how to pronounce it. Helen of Greece and Denmark, QM of Romania was born “Eleni” and called “Elena” in Romania, where did they get Helen from? Can people really not say Elena?
