Morning.
Sun was shining and the birds were lightly chirping outside of their house. Another day was starting to begin and the first day back in school for new students at Beacon Academy. The last couple of weeks was hectic as there were tons of paperwork for students to be approved into the academy and finalizing their classes for the upcoming semesters. Who would have thought that one of the most respected supporters that fought in two wars would become a teacher at the school who believed in her?
And her husband, her former teammate, would join as well? Such an opportunity for the both of them.
Coming down the stairs, heels were making contact against the floor to make a loud sound. She could smell the fresh homemade coffee from the kitchen and lips began to curve to form a delicate smile. The combat boots were now hung up and now heels, a button down blue shirt, a black pencil skirt and the one thing that would stand out would be here team jacket. Eyes darted in the room as she saw her husband pouring two cups of coffee.
“Morning, dear.”
Walking up to him, she leaned in to press a small kiss against his cheek. Being married to her best friend was one thing she loved every single minute of each day. She couldn’t be more thankful for him.
