hi, I'm a closeted witch and recently my mother (full blown christian who'd kill me if she found out) almost caught me with my tarot cards (She rushed in my room without knocking and I quickly hid them under my covers but she saw me put my hand there) and she's suspicious about what I had hidden. Do you have/know any spells to hide things or protect things from view from those that aren't meant to see them? thank you x

 ✨My favourite things for keeping things hidden are sigils. Make a sigil that means something along the lines of ‘I, alone, am able to find this ___’ or ‘When i use this ____, I have privacy’ As far as what your sigil means, that will be up to you because it could be anything from ‘this object is invisible’ to ‘this is safe from prying eyes’ or ‘only I can see/find this object.’ Whatever you choose, think of it from all angles and make sure it wont end up being hidden from you too! You can also do some work to make your witchy stuff ‘invisible’ by either charming the thing itself, the box it’s kept in, or casting something like a mini-ward/circle around it.

Do whatever you’re most comfortable with! Personally, I would likely either enchant the box, or cast the circle. All three are things you’ll have to keep up, and refresh the enchantment every once in a while. This is actually really good practical practice (lol) for learning how to sense your own circles/wards because you’ll be checking in every so often to see if your wards are still up, and recasting if they’re not. 

As for how to do those enchantments/wards, I don’t have a set spell that I use 100% of the time, but I have some favourite spell ingredients for hiding things. 

- Black candle- Hawthorn - protection of things close to your heart- Violets (especially the underground blossoms of them) - invisibility to those who aren’t in on your secret- Ghost pipe Monotropa uniflora (but i dont ever suggest harvesting it due to their complex relationship with the plants around them, so I work with it’s energy and sort of ask it’s spirit to help out with the spell)  - Staying hidden and quiet, but still active and exchanging energy- Moss - “muffling” the energetic footsteps of the objects. Keeping objects from getting noticed

@stargvsm has a ‘prying eyes’ spell that could be useful too

And any invisibility glamour spell could be adapted to your needs. Glamours are usually cast on yourself, but they an also be cast as an illusion/veil over objects too.
