I FLIPPED HEADS! TREAT!

Unfortunately for the CITIZENS OF CANDYLAND, MOBSTER KINGPIN does not seem to understand the rules of the board game, and seeks to conquer each stop along the rainbow road. The SPARE ACES up his sleeve are pointless when the cards you draw are simply colorful squares.

MK forfeiting turns to raze GRAMMA NUT'S ABODE to the ground and lay bare the PEPPERMINT FOREST has of course given Death a sizeable lead, but MK is now collecting trophies from the fallen SENTINELS OF CANDYLAND.

Despite a lack of rules surrounding this, if MK were to collect ALL ARTEFACTS from the SENTINELS, the CANDY CROWN will no doubt fall to his power, with the MINTSPLITTER, LICORICE MANTLE, and LEGUME BONNET in his possession already.

Now DECEASED, MK no longer concerns himself with WORLDLY MATTERS, such as PHYSICAL WEAKNESS in the form of UNTREATED DIABETES. He has made quick work of the SENTINELS... it has been rather horrifying to witness.

Death can only hope MK becomes lost in LOLLIPOP WOODS, and does not acquire the SUCKER BATON, the ICE CREAM SKATES, and finally, the VISCOUS ICHOR OF GLOPPY.

If his appetite gives out first, perhaps the citizens themselves will all be spared. God save the King.

death & death :: tea time

( Just for the sake of my own sanity BT Death will be called...Morte. )

Morte hadn't had tea in ages. In fact he was quite sure the last time he had it was the Age of Enlightenment. There simply hadn't been the drive to take the time to make the tea or to buy the tea. He didn't need to eat, nor drink, so there was no need. And time had always been an issue for the busy reaper. And yet, when the other Death had asked him for tea, Morte found it hard to say no. Death was so kind to him, and it was the first of his kind he had ever met.

Unfortunately, this tea was turning out to be a depressing one. The always anxious Morte was constantly checking the time and then his list and then the time once more. Afraid to miss a single soul's deadline, he was having a hard time concentrating on Death and the conversation the latter was attempting to hold.

" You really should relax. " Death mumbled, urging Morte to have another cup.

" Relaxed? I am relaxed. I just... " Morte started, but Death already knowing the answer, interrrupted.

" You're worried about your list. You've never missed a soul's deadline before? "

Morte hesitated. Of course he had. There were times in which deadlines would interrupt. As long as the soul was collected within a certain period of time, it was fine and the order was kept. Still Morte worried about missing even a single one. It set him on edge.

" How do you do it? How do you put up with them? Taking care of humans? " Morte asked. He was always so quick to dispose of the souls to the afterlife. Death on the other hand went out of his way to appeal to the souls, to make them feel better. Something that Morte had tried time and time and time again to do, but only ended up depressing himself.

" Hmmm? " Death pondered for a moment. The question seemed odd to him, and it was then that he pinpointed the source of Morte's grief. Death had hurt himself on humans. He couldn't care without becoming too emotionally involved in them. So, he had distanced himself in order to avoid them. And even this hurt him after a while. This entity was just one big scar.

" I...don't know. " There was no way for Death to answer. Morte's damage had been done.

With this, Morte's body gave up the resistance. His tea cup shattered as it hit the floor. And Morte wept.
