hey! if you have the time, would you mind explaining how you did the glitch effect in your headers?

This lovely POST gave me the links to dl some glitch gifs.

And when I'm in ps I edit and color and resize the gif I want and then in the timeline I move around the glitch gif on top of my gif. and I mess with the blending layer of the glitch gif.... for these headers I used a mixture of saturation and screen.

Also!! I almost forgot! So open your glitch gif in ps first and make it into a smart object before dragging it into the gif you're making.

I'M SO BAD AT EXPLAINING!! I'm sorry! I hope that makes somewhat sense....

Hi there! Sorry this is a couple days late. I'm currently going through Some ShitTM, & only opened my laptop for the first time all week today. I'm excited though, because this is the very first time someone has ever asked something about my gifs! I'm more than down to answer any questions though if you have any other questions! 🖤

Second gif's font is Beyond Wonderland

Third gif's font is comprised of two fonts. "Half Hop" is Enjelina Demo & the flourishy "e" is a glyph in Fine Spring.

& fonts on the last gif are American Typewriter (PS should have this one. I use it a lot actually.) for the "none but you" & "I have loved" is also Fine Spring.

Where did you get your video for the Funny as Jemaine gifs, do you download it? Also how did you get your gifs to look so beautiful. They are amazing, thank you.

my friend kindly provided me with a copy, and thanks! i don’t really do much, honestly. i just use hd videos, resize my gifs in the right dimensions, sharpen them, and keep the colouring simple as to not ruin the quality. resources blogs like yeahps & itsphotoshop have an abundance of tutorials and there are plenty of good giffing-related ones that you can find and learn from there. i do recommend these step-by-step guides (x and x) made by my dear friend samira, though, since her giffing method (the windows one) happens to be exactly the same as mine. lastly, i also have an entire page of tips on giffing that might help here.

okay, here are psds that show how i made this edit for anon <3

the one thing the psds do not show is that after i flatten the images i tend to do a lot of smudging and blurring for the final product, but there isn’t a good way to save that in a psd unfortunately. 

the first thing i do when i’m making an edit like this one, is look through screencaps. for this edit, i knew i wanted it to be light, so i looked for caps with light/bright backgrounds first, and then found ones that i knew i wanted to use, even though the backgrounds were really fucking dark lol. the reason i wanted to make light backgrounds is because i like how well they make the subject stands out. 

anyway, this isn’t a proper tutorial, but i think if you use the psds and go through them, they do kind of give you a step by step process of how i edit each cap. but after this, if there are more specific things you wanna know, let me know and i’ll make a more comprehensive tutorial.

How do you make your gifs so colorful and pretty?? Your edits are so amazing!

firstly can i just say, thank you so much!! you’re honestly the sweetest and it really means a lot to me to hear that :’’) i honestly couldn’t tell you exactly how i make all my gifs, because i use a different coloring each time. what i can do is help you out with a specific gifset i made, and try to explain what i did, if you want. but honestly a lot of practice, a psd that works well and you can mould into what you want, + finding your own style. everyone has their own look to their gifs, and all of us have our own ps style. but i’m happy and open to helping if there’s a specific gifset you have in mind that you want me to explain.❤

Hi! Thank you so much for the compliment, like really. 🤗 It’s not a bother at all, I really don’t mind.  I get the textures I use from DeviantArt, it’s such a great site for resources. If you’re looking at a texture in particular that I’ve used, let me know I’ll try and trace down the link for ya. I’m having a fab week, thanks for asking! Hope you are having a great one as well.  :)

Hi, same anon as before! I was specifically thinking about your Totoro & Pocahontas sets, but all your colorings are very pretty so I would be happy to learn if you have a tutorial too! Thank you <3

sorry for taking so long, here it goes both psds! you'll have to make some ajusts so it can fit better with your scenes (for the pocahontas one i really recommend you to look for bluish tones)
