I have to admit, I think overall, the Dualshock 4 controller is my favourite controller to date. Over the past few years my controllers have gotten a lot of use playing things like GTA, Call of duty and Grand Torismo. I’ve tried a lot of cheaper controllers in the past for the PC and it has really turned me off.
Since I set up this website I have been spending a lot more time on my PC. So that means more mouse and keyboard playing for me. Now there’s nothing wrong with that, and in fact many would rather use a mouse and keyboard for certain games such as Starwars Galaxies. But other games like racing games or even VR set ups, using the mouse and keyboard probably doesn’t really cut it. So hooking up a PS4 Dualshock controller on your PC is a great option.
Setting up a PS4 controller is super simple. Playstation has made it really easy to plug-in via your PS4 Dualshock 4 USB connection or via Bluetooth. Steam has even updated so you can use your PS4 Dualshock controller on your PC.

How to Set up your PS4 Dualshock controller on your PC
To set up the Dualshock 4 PC download a program called DS4Windows. This program will take you through the steps to set up and map out your controller in a matter of minutes. Once you go through the steps you will be able to connect your ps4 controller.
The controller is even better wirelessly so you can hook up your controller via bluetooth if you like. You can do this by holding down the share and hold button for 3 seconds. If DS4Windows is installed properly you will see the controller show up in your bluetooth settings.
Something to keep in mind when using the PS4 controller on your PC. Mainly the headphone jack on the controller doesn’t work so you still have to use your PC jack for your headphones.
If you don’t have bluetooth you can check out the Dualshock 4 USB adapter. It’s or the Kinivo BTD-400 adapter.
