I laugh to keep from crying.
Seriously, this situation is very frustrating.
I hope they'll fix it soon.

yoooo I need some help
Howdy all! Back in August 2017, I upgraded my PS4 1st gen by installing a Nyko Data Bank and Seagate 2TB HDD. It's worked perfect since then, but just a few days ago it wouldn't start and gave me the error code CE-34335-8 and saying it can't detect my storage system. I've unhooked and reinstalled the data bank per the instructions and that's yielded nothing, and I've attempted to start it up in Safe Mode for a database rebuild but for some reason I can't access it! When I hold down the start button and release after the second beep, the machine starts up w/o the Playstation logo then gives me the same error screen. It needs to be set to 3.5 to access storage but neither that nor the 2.5 setting changes things. I've never disconnected it from power w/o turning it off first, and it hasn't been knocked over or hit. The only change made to my set-up recently is that the day before this started happening, I unhooked the power and HDMI cables to let a friend play hers on my TV. My main question, then, is why can't I access Safe Mode? I'd like to try that before anything else, but if that doesn't work then how can I tell if this is an issue with my HDD, data bank, or machine itself? Thanks in advance for pertinent info.
