Update on the PSB painting I had planned to give them. I ended up giving this to a friend instead. As much I I enjoyed painting this and liked it quite a bit, I felt silly giving them a painting of themselves. After talking to friends and fellow petheads the night before the show, I'd trotted out my regular non-celebrity art. The type I typically do for commission and sale. I had two pieces that it was felt would be better suited as gifts to PSB. So this I handed to a friend who didn't have a gift for them. She also took sketches to be signed. As you can see the painting was signed and returned ( I gave it to the friend to keep.) and the sketches were kept! To be fair the 'Neil' was one of the best I'd done it is the one I use as the avatar for this account it is that good. Had I known they'd take the 'Chris' sketch which was an older piece, I would have knocked out a new sketch for the occasion. Oh well. It was pretty nice too and I'm pleased as can be they took them. Anyway so now my friend is in possession of a one of a kind item. A painting signed by Pet Shop Boys. Quite a collectable! :)
