For all those animation savvy peoples, I have a couple questions for you. Before most of you had Flash, what did you use to put together your animations (preferably something I don't need to download)? I have sai and PSE9 and is there a way to animate on those? Thank you for your time ;)

Ramblings of a graphics n00b

Soo....

My dad has PSE9 [photoshop element 9] on his computer. I was slightly curious, is that the kind of software you can make gifs/the fancy lovely looking graphics that are oh-so popular on tumblr. If so can somebody point me in the direction of some tutorials? Yep.
