I’ve been asked what I mean when I say the heat causes me to lose eyesight like optic neuritis symptoms, and what optic neuritis is like. So here's a little video example of what it's like (as recreated by me while having symptoms so.. a video metaphor if you will). Optic neuritis progresses and for me, moved to full gray out most of the times I’ve had it. The last time required two 10 day courses of 1 gram solu-medrol a day. Did the first 10 days and still had symptoms, they got worse and had to do a second round of 10 days. It's still there and heat, overexertion, etc, cause it to come back temporarily. They call it a ‘pseudo-exacerbation’ but it doesn’t feel pseudo anything to me.
