I would tell everyone around me I hated exercising, because the mere act of moving more than necessary for living took too much effort. I don't like running, I don't like sweating, I don't like letting people down with my paltry athletic skills.
But despite the hours I wasted watching TV this morning, I moved a lot today... and it felt good! I'm super competitive and I love doing something new, which both served well to keep me going. I felt what might be described as the high that comes after the climb. Time moves slower and your emotions take a turn for the better. I mean, it makes sense; life looks more exciting when your heart starts racing.
Yes, I used to be in denial, but exercise really does work wonders for my soul.
