maple - is there a hobby / skill that you’ve always wanted to try but never did?

I’d really like to learn Auslan (sign language)! I did start like 2 years ago but I only really got as far as learning alphabet and I’ve picked up a couple of signs. It’d be a really nice skill to have I think, it’d be useful to communicate with a wider range of people, and I’d also really like to be able to bring it into the classroom and teach kids some basics as well!

crow - which school subject do you wish you had an aptitude for?

I literally took Japanese classes for 10 and a half years and pretty much all I can remember is some suuuper basic stuff like numbers, colours, introducing myself, etc? Maybe I’d have done better if I switched to something like German in high school, where at least there’s a little bit more of a link to English + a more common alphabet to use as a foundation to help?

I also started teaching myself French like 7 years ago and yeah I’m not exactly motivated or dedicated and keep stopping for like 6 month periods but I feel like I’ve made very slow progress there too so yeah, languages

And I guess my lack of progress in Auslan is another example of that too 😂

quilt - how do you take your tea (or coffee)?

hot water + tea and that’s it!

I used to always have milk in my black tea but I stopped a few years back mostly because I was housesitting and I had no milk and was like eh can’t be bothered going to the shops. And now I look at tea with milk and I’m like eh that just looks like watery milk with a bit of flavour in it 😬 Plus I drink a lot of herbal and fruit teas, so they only need although I finished all my loose leaf tea a few months ago and haven’t gotten around to buying more yet :(

I also rly like cold tea! Like say it’s hot, I don’t feel like a cup of tea, I’ll make a cup of fruit tea and let it cool or brew it in cold water :D
