some antis are absolutely incapable of understanding that not all darkshippers are using it as a coping mechanism and need some golden hero to teach them "better ways of coping". like ok, yes occasionally it helps with my trauma, but i'm allowed to enjoy taboo topics without being treated like an ill-riden mental patient who doesn't know whats best for me. they have such a moral complex i swear
trying not to be profiction made my mental health worse. antishippers praise so greatly for people to "recover" from being proshippers when 2 years ago, my OCD episodes got so bad i fell into a deep depression. i had already been dealing greatly with my own personal events that drove me to hallucinations and countless of relapses, but having the continuous argument that the things that interested me would one day become my reality destroyed me. i lived in fear thinking i would grow up and become a criminal. i thought that by enjoying dark topics, i was publicly advocating for them, that i was advocating for my own trauma. it wrecked my mental health so bad, so i hid. i already deal with immense anxieties, and this added so much unnecessary stress. ever since ive opened up about my profiction stances, i have felt the most elated i have been in a while. being able to confidently say that i KNOW how to distinguish fiction from reality has helped me tremendously. so yeah, proshipping did save my life
yet another rant but i want to talk about the kind of complexes that also exist in the proshipping community that cant keep being ignored. ok, YES, some antis are insufferable and uneducated, but we need to learn that we can't be watering down terms just as they are. you cant just go around calling every anti a "fascist," especially if its a very obviously uninvolved stance. most people arent too well versed in these conversations, and many of them have a right to be uncomfortable. while enjoying dark media respectfully is apart of profic culture, we need to remember it is STILL dark media, of which works to envoke a sense of unease. unless its becoming an argument of media literacy, people are allowed to feel the emotion theyre intended to feel. lest we forget, a dni goes both ways
im so sick of this radqueer and profic overlap. think whatever you like, i cant control your conscious, but at the end of the day, i believe all radqueers are braindead. i'm all for advocating for the help of mental illnesses, especially psychosexual ones, but the second you try to include those identities into the queer community, or preach that these very real feelings that could potentially hurt very real people are apart of profic culture, then you have no room to EVER talk. not to mention all these "transIDs". you claim youre woke and here you are cosplaying black, asian, hispanic. pretending youre autistic or epileptic or an SA survivor. radqueers have no sympathy for the people they say they do, and i hate them so much. stop pretending the things youre doing arent hurting people irl
