"Some Other You" Sayble and Psilar

Humanstuck:

Psilar is the child of a well-known engineer, technician, and electronics expert named Moraey Alalia.  Despite being picked on by their peers for their speech disorder, they have quite a few friends (including a group they regularly meet up with for D&D), and they inherited Moraey’s love for inventing in the form of carpentry.  When Psilar was fourteen, they suffered an incident that left them permanently concussed, causing prominent brain damage.  As the bullying at school got even worse and their friends distanced themselves, Psilar was pulled from school and homeschooled by a private tutor.  

Petstuck:

Sayble is a troll that was considered unfit for adoption due to being hatched with a severe case of melanism.  He was used for testing and experimentation with several other mutants since he couldn’t be sold.  The facility was broken into by a group of radical troll rights activists, who took as many trolls as they could and escaped the city.  However, no one would adopt him due to being mutated, and the very rare few that did would mistreat abuse him.  In the end, he ran away from the city and chose to live in the wilderness far, far away from civilization at an abandoned orchard.
