bumblebee created a hive lab with many functions. science belongs on one end with papers scattered, suit schematics flickering in the holographic interface. the desk is a mess of her projects barely separated from others, favors taken on for friends like @psionicburst.

on the other side: sparks drip off karen's fists & fade around the speed punching bag. it picks up momentum to the point of buzzing in harmony with her, hovering with wings of pure energy. stream of consciousness still lies unfinished on the whiteboard. the method to the madness was weaker on this end of the lab, but every strike directed the chaos towards something. it kept her body from overloading & her worries crackle around her hands instead of consuming her.

adrenaline still sparkles in her eyes as she gently pulls susan towards the full, heavy punching bag. "sounds like you could use a little release. if i keep mine in too long, i start shorting my circuitry," karen pants with a nod towards the suit lying on the table. "when's the last time you just got into your body?"

Medusa smirked softly over at Susan from across the room; emerald eyes surveying the blonde up & down quickly as to discern what might be on her mind. By her choice of attire, the Queen gathered she might be hoping to rope Medusa into a shopping frenzy, or whatever the Terrans like to say.

“You know, Susan, if you desire new clothing, I can have my tailor down for you any time. He’s very good.”

Her custom gowns speak for themselves, she thinks.

Medusa could hardly look her friend in the eye. Seldom people knew the awful things she’d been through, seldom still seemed to care — seemed to look deep enough to notice or care even less to comment on it. She was used to it. She was used to shouldering everything: every blame & every offence & every betrayal. It was what she was expected to do.

“Perhaps you should.” the Queen replied softly, wringing her gloved hands in her skirts. This galactic mess they’d caused, thrones stolen from beneath noses, people dead, alliances broken. Medusa had done all she could to dissuade Black Bolt from this plan — many she had argued against before, but this… this was the most ignoble, the most unworthy & corrupt cause yet.

But still she’d conceded, consented. She was once again too weak to leave the cold yet familiar arms of her family. What was she without them? She didn’t know — & she was terrified to find out.

"Ugh, poundin'..." Remy groaned, shutting his eyes again when the bright light above only exacerbated the pain.

The last thing he remembered was the blast, and he must have hit his head after the fall. The explosion was admittedly larger than he had anticipated, though nobody knew that there was a gas leak nearby. Somehow they made it out alive—actually, that somehow must have been Sue.
