What are your hc's about Illumi growing up? About how he was trained? Mindset while growing up? Anything about how he thought/felt when he saw Killua for the first time after he was born?

hmmm i personally think his training was probably way more brutal than killua’s and that it essentially broke him. Illumi is like Mikey, trained to the point that he became like a machine, whose sole duty is to maintain the safety and power of his family.

as for what he thought when he saw killua for the first time... depends on his frame of mind. i think he’d have any sense of self destroyed at that point and already be in the mindset that his family is above himself, so that killua, the future of the family, will become everything to him

and i think he got worse as he grew up with killua, because now he gets to pass on everything he was taught as a child to killua. he’d possibly be even more brutal because killua, the true heir, should be able to handle more difficult training than him, and he’d do all of it firmly believing that it is all out of love

killua’s training would only be less severe in that silva would often let killua go play, and just have more freedom in general compared to illumi

What is your favorite thing about hxh?

That’s a hard one, probably the character development in each character. Also the fact that it shows both the good and bad sides of everyone instead of just making the good guys good and the bad guys bad.
