lou chewed on his finger nails absentmindedly (he already had the metallic taste of blood in his mouth but he was used to that). he had far too much going on in his head at the moment. and most of that going on was revolving around storm. the other man was only meant to be a fuck, but then that turned into multiple fucks and then lou started getting feelings.
feelings weren’t something lou ever did. they weren’t something anything he ever looked out for - in fact they were something he actively avoided. but here he was practically pining over someone and lou really, really didn’t want that.
so he’d been playing hot and cold. in the back of his mind he knew it wasn’t right but he couldn’t help it. it wasn’t exactly intentional. he’d avoid him for a bit but then when he was near he’d want to be closer than before. maybe he kissed more often than before, maybe he held him for too long after they fucked. and then maybe he refused to see him for a while.
he was terrified and he didn’t know what was scarier - storm rejecting him or storm actually wanting to be with him. lou was a mess. he barely knew how to be a person let alone a boyfriend. he didn’t even know how to be a proper brother and that was something he’d been since birth.
“hey storm,” lou him as he approached, looking up from his seat. he dropped his hand from his mouth and slide both of his hands in his pockets. the smile that spread across his face was warmer than it should’ve been. he figured he was obvious - he practically felt like he was radiating the words ‘i’m in love with you’.
