Connection details: When Preslee decided she didn't want to be a college student anymore during her first attempt at freshman year, her parents allowed her to drop out on the condition she did something business-y. Preslee decided to open a soda shop, Saints & Sippers [inspo], and asked this person to manage it with her. Their work ethic is much stronger than hers though, so only a few months into business together, Preslee dipped to go travelling with very little notice. This person has continued to run the business and keep it afloat in her absence. I anticipate some kind of tension between them since she essentially just ditched them, but they used to be close enough to want to go into business together, so it'll be fun to navigate their dynamic now! They don't have any ownership of the business, the St. James' paid for it entirely, but they've put far more into it than Preslee ever has.

They dated this person while they were both at PSU, but when Mac's basketball career pulled them to Chicago, their partner had to stay at PSU/move away for other opportunities elsewhere. Despite their best efforts to maintain a long distance relationship, eventually it had to end for both their sakes. They lost contact thanks to Mac's ex and whole lot of other factors, and they haven't seen each other in years, but now they're back in LA, well... who knows?

They were both in high powered successful jobs in New York and both were approved by their family. It was set to be perfect. Until everything fell apart; the Fabray name was tarnished and Sarah came out as attracted to women, destroying the engagement, and rebelling against the religion they knew. They lost touch after that until Sarah and her ex-fiance meet again.

Connection details: This person is a professor at PSU, and he and Cassie met before the semester began. They were both at a bar, and ended up hitting it off—though, on Cassie's part it was just an acting exercise she set herself, but he didn't know that. They were drinking, and either they hooked up or he got so drunk that he passed out and nothing happened, but either way, they simply went their separate ways afterwards. When the semester started, and he realized she was a student/she realized he was a professor, he panicked and acted like they didn't know one another, while Cassie saw it as an opportunity to screw with him, and to get some special treatment in the process. The first opportunity she got to speak to him alone, she reminded him of their one night tryst (whether we go the actual hookup route OR he was too drunk to remember and she just told him they hooked up, either works) and promised not to tell anyone as long as he stayed on her good side and did everything she asked of him. She has bigger plans for if and when his patience begins to run out and he's ready to just blow up and tell people (Terri Schuester style fake pregnancy plot, so please be okay with her faking a pregnancy!), but for now she's just enjoying the bribery for what it is.
