hey, i just wanted to ask, how long do you spend on your spreads for your bujo, and how do you get faster at it? i feel like i spend a million years on just one page, and it doesn't even end up looking too-forced! also, any tips on making the highlighter titles all flowing and not inked up (if you get what i mean)?

I don’t usually spend that much time-- maybe half an hour setting it up, and a bit more each day as the week goes in. The majority of my spreads are fairly simple, and I rely heavily on tape to make it look good! Any doodles I do are few and far between, as well as being very simple.

Even with that taking into consideration, it definitely does get faster as you get more accustomed to layouts that work for you, if you get what I mean.

As for titles, I can’t do highlighters-- chisel tips just mess me up! I’d strongly recommend trying Crayola markers because they have nice tips which make it so much easier to evenly distribute the ink and make it look good.

hey, just wondering, how'd you make your highlighter calligraphy so smooth? like, there are no darker and lighter sections - how do you do it?

i don’t use highlighters hehe i used calligraphy pens! they have a brush tip so it helps in making it smooth. practice also helps a lot!

hey jo, do you have any advice for making enough time in the day to do everything you want? like, if there's a whole bunch you have to do, but you still want to get a decent amount of sleep?

asld;fkasj sorry it’s taken me a while to answer, but i hope this helps!

for kinda trying to fit everything into a day, depending on what you’re doing, you’re always going to have a few things you must do each day, like go to school or attend a meeting, etc. for those things, estimate how much time you might spend on them (include everything, like if you’re going to school, transportation time, etc.). 

then i’d make a list of everything i’d need to do, tbh (you don’t have to, but it probs would help) and beside each task or thing you need to do, eyeball the time and guesstimate how much time you might spend on each task and then kinda categorize and work through each thing accordingly. make your deadline for all the things your bedtime. 

along with just general time management, you need to be motivated, i suppose. it really makes a big different difference! here’s a post on motivation and discipline, but honestly, schedules differ and change from person to person!! 

if you need specific help you can definitely come and ask me for more detail, but generally when you have a lot to do, do either the tasks that 

don’t take much time OR

the more time sensitive tasks

prioritize your time and your tasks and work from there!!!

i don’t have a fixed everyday routine (heresy for the studyblr community, i know). if i have a test or exams, i pretty much throw myself into studying for it, hard-core all-day. for exam leave, i block out time for separate subjects and go out to cafes. each subject is different in terms of studying - humanities, i mostly read and review over and over and over again, and maths/science is practical, taking practise exams and such. i guess a sort-of everyday routine would be coming home and revising mainly by doing homework, followed by any extra studying i might have to do for upcoming tests.

also for anon starting IB try doing as much of CAS as early on as possible! don't leave it until senior year because it often brings people down a lot! also, some advice I wish I'd been given at the start of IB: don't go for good enough, work that extra bit more to give you that fall back range for the grade you want if for some reason things don't end up going your way.
