Just finished The Borderlands 3 DLC "Psycho Krieg and the fantastic Fustercluck" and noticed someting very interesting:
Most side quest references some popular philosophical or psychological theory.
To name some i recognised right away:
"That Rings a Something" references Ivan Pawlow and his dogs.
"Don't Call it a Rorschach" is... well, quite obviously referencing Hermann Rorschach's inkplots.
"It's an Allegory" is a rather amusing recreation of Platons Cave.
"Does a Body Good" as Sigmund Freuds disgusting little oedipus complex theory.
Now i'm pretty sure there might be a LOT more i might have missed, but i just can't seem to find a reference guide online (or i just google the wrong keywords). I gotta replay the dlc to check for the ones i missed the first time.
Hnghgaksksj, i'm just a huge nerd for psychology stuff and considering the fact Krieg was my absolute favourite playable character in borderlands 2 this DLC makes me unreasonably happy, hahaha.
(Sorry to nerd out on main, but i doubt anyone will read this anyway hsksksksk)
The DLC was absolutely perfect. I reccomend it to anyone who plans to buy it!

Psycho Krieg | End Credits
Borderlands 3 DLC 4
Going through and playing psycho krieg and the fantastic fustercluck and talking to the boys(tm) is my favorite, ESPECIALLY since Psycho Krieg is sharp as a tack, 90% of his word salad has a deeper meaning and talking to him in particular is fun because you never know what off the wall insight he’ll have.
One of the things he’ll say to you if you approach him is “are you the ointment, or the fly?” Which immediately was understandable as ‘are you here to help us or hurt us?’
With all his literary references and spliced idioms This bitch was an English or lit nerd before he became a merc and was subsequently turned into a lab rat and I will die on that hill.
Also their subtle (and not so subtle) bitching at each other kills me (ie Sane complaining about Psycho leaving his dirty weapons on the floor and never listening to him and then Psycho turning to you with a long-suffering tone and saying “Me and Mr. Problems had a falling out.”
