“Lalah was no stranger to the horrors of war, yet she was horrified. In the past, when two Federation warships had raked the colony she lived on, she had trembled in fear of her own death, only to experience true horror and despair on learning that her parents, from whom she bad become separated, had been killed.
But these were memories, and something experienced on the periphery of battle. She imagined before what it would be like for two people to deliberately try to kill each other in combat, but the reality of what she now faced was far more frightening.”
-from Mobile Suit Gundam: Awakening, by Yoshiyuki Tomino
"In order to improve the performance of Mobile Suits, such as enhanced firepower, heavy armor and reinforced thrust, magnetic coating and psychommu technologies developed out of Minovsky physics. However, most of these methods would always lead to body scale issues, body weight and other related problems. In order to solve these problems, other modifications had to be made, but this continued into a never-ending vicious cycle after a mobile suit was considered 'complete’.”

"Using new bio-computer technology, Flanagan therefore succeeded in creating a device—called a psycho-communicator, or psychommu, that could interface with a brain-wave amplification apparatus.
As it turned out the total system failed to function properly with human operators of average paranormal abilities, and worked only with those who possessed unique, expanded powers of insight or intuition.”
-from Mobile Suit Gundam: Awakening, by Yoshiyuki Tomino
“The psycommu system could receive and emit amplified brainwaves. It did this by amplifying, transmitting, and receiving the various kinds of brainwaves emitted by the human body when it formed an intention. It didn’t just convert fluctuations in electric potential.
Naturally, if the test subject had little ability, the system could become confused by whether or not it should exclude other intentions produced by what could be called surplus ability. This was a weak point of the psycommu, but if it were used more properly, then the test subject could reliably operate it to the extent that they might seem to have precognition.”
- from Zeta Gundam Novel Vol. 4; by Yoshiyuki Tomino
"Among the systems researched by the Flanagan Agency was the psycommu system, which amplifies the acute reactive waves of Newtypes and translates them into computer language. These "reactive waves" were detected through the systematic anomalies they produced in radio communications under Minovsky particle conditions. The question of what position Newtypes occupy in the evolution of life remains undecided even in the present postwar era, but it proved possible to use the properties of these reactive waves as a weapon."
