i think he'd have a lot of aspects related to the other minds he's been in and people he's met (for better or worse) because he's an impressionable little kid and some of those take the form of carnival games. one is like a ring toss with milk bottles but if you get the ring on the bottle it explode

please yes hello i MUST know about what hidden box raz keeps all the trauma in in his mindscape or if the trauma is like Right There In The Open but displayed with a cheerful facade bc hes fine totally hes processed everything that happened uhhh *checks watch* 4 days ago its old news

honestly i haven't fully decided how i think it'd go yet! i think it'd be kinda a mix? i think after the 2nd game especially his mindscape would take on aspects of psychonauts headquarters due to the psychonauts being so important to him, but with a more kinda comic book secret-agent-hideout kinda vibe if that makes sense.

as for his trauma i think probably raz doesn't really realize it himself? i think it'd b mostly a lot of stuff that seems normal on first glance until you delve deeper. probably some hero complex type stuff. could fit some good metaphors for raz feeling like he's responsible for keeping everyone else together with crumbling foundations and architecture holding everything up breaking under the pressure of other people's baggage he's accumulated. giant unstable tower into the sky with all the baggage ontop.

anyways i don't think raz is really HIDING or actively IGNORING his issues so much as the last 5 days of his life have been so jam packed with adrenaline both good and bad that he hasn't even had a moment to take stock of himself. it's kinda all been pushed down in that survival instinct way of your brain putting your feelings on a high shelf until the current situation is no longer critical. like when you do a lot of exercise and you don't feel the pain until you sit down for a bit. i think raz is gonna be reeling once he relaxes

Raz mindscape ideas post finally cause I have insomnia

I think it would have a lot more aspects of psychonauts headquarters (or an exaggerated idea of it) than purely circus based

By exaggerated, I mean like. A kind of more stereotypical super cool secret headquarters type vibe, closer to how its probably shown in true psychic tales than in reality.

More superhero-esque than government office

Basically the psychonauts are such a huge part of raz's life n aspirations n shit I can't see how they wouldn't play at least a moderate role in his psyche

Wayyyy more chaotic than in real life. Think bat cave mixed with the back rooms of the tardis.

Area transitions like comic book panels?? Think like that scene in the lucktopus mission where the other interns appear in panels on screen but its used for scene transitions

Since he's so young and unexperienced, I think he'd be a lot more impressionable psyche-wise than your average psychonaut, and therefore every mind he visits would leave SOME kind of trace in his mindscape beyond filing away the baggage n reels

As such I think his brain would be kind of... disjointed? At first glance? Pulling tiny bits of other people's mindscapes and weaving them into his.

Adding onto that, we haven't actually seen what a kids mindscape looks like, and I can't imagine it's as straightforward as an adult mind

A kid's mind is still under construction after all, so I think it would be more prone to frequent changes mindscape-structure-wise, as well as being less generally coherent

You know how kids will like completely swap their entire interests n aspirations because they saw a new movie they liked or some shit?

Yeah. Their mindscapes gonna fluctuate more than an adults

Also like. Kids are straight up just weirder than adults. Theres gonna be some bizarre fucking shit u gotta do to get from place to place

Definitely took a card from millas book in regards to locking up nightmares n other beasties. Probably not as solidly done though

Though I think it'd be neat if there were like. Fake comic books strewn around that r storybook versions of his thoughts on people. They're all illustrated with what looks like raz's own art

Sasha has the most volumes about him lying around, with milla a close runner up, followed by oleander

A lot of Fords volumes have pages ripped out or extra pages stapled to the back. White out over some parts, sticky notes changing dialogue, etc

Theres a lot about his family, and a lot of them contradict eachother. It varies by volume whether they're the heroes or the villains

Egg fuckers volumes reveal raz knows uh, more 'colorful language' than one would presume
