So here we go!

1.did you eat breakfast today? what was it! describe it in delicious detail!! So my eating schedule's been reversed due to night classes (heaviest meal in the morning), so today, for breakfast, I pigged out on homemade vietnamese grilled pork with vermicelli, and a side of leftover bibimbap.
2. what’s your pet’s name? if you don’t have one what would it be if u did. I've never had pets (we always lived in rented condos/apartments), but I am determined to adopt a cat soon. I've always been entertained by the name "Chairman Meow," but it'd make me feel guilty...so probably "Sir" or "Chief" or "Boss"...unless it's really ill-suited to the kitty's personality...
3. what’s your next project/art plans/writing plans/cosplay plans/etc? My webcomic! I have the big outline mostly complete, and am now working on fleshing/drawing out the characters and the world. :DDD It's sci-fi, and incorporates a lot of the interesting things I've read on science sites/blogs. I'm aiming for a darkly comic tone, but we'll see where it goes...Trying not to be too precious about it because it won't get made if I agonize over every little thing. It will be a good learning experience, I think. :)
4. if we met up irl what activities should we include in our day of fun? FOOD-VENTURES!! This is generally my favorite activity to do with friends. XD If you ever come down to Seattle, I could take you to my favorite haunts (tea cafe with good selection and board games; crumpet shop; bakeries...), and, if the weather permits, go out for a picnic by a lake. :) There's also this amazing comic/geeky store at Pike's Place that you'd love...( And if you're legal by the time we meet, I could take you to some great microbreweries in the NW...) Anyway, that's my itinerary, but I'm sure you'd pick out really fun things to do, too!
5. what’s the last movie/tv show/book/etc that made you get really emotional? You mean other than getting our hearts torn out of us while watching TWD together? Probably The Hour. Oooh, or My Mad Fat Diary...I can't remember which I watched more recently. No, wait, I'm going to go with MMFD (cuz half the pain for The Hour is thanks to the cancelation and the godawful cliffhanger)...I mean, I think most people who watch it admit to crying a few tears?? At the very least??? I know I was a blubbery mess...
6. what book are you currently reading? MCAT in-class compendium. Lol, I kid. I actually just started reading Cloud Atlas, which I've been saving for a rainy day (though not literally; I'd be reading all day, everyday if I held to that). David Mitchell as been a favorite author since a friend introduced me to him, though my favorite book of his is actually his semi-autobiography, Black Swan Green. I've also been intermittently reading, for the past few months, The Pale King, which is...well, it's hard to describe. I don't know if you'd care for it, since It's mind-numbingly dull and affected in parts, but there are parts of it that have made me just stop, breathe, re-read, re-read again, and then haunted my waking hours when I was stuck in traffic with nothing to distract me...If you're interested, I'll share some quotes in the next mail so you don't have to slog through it yourself.
7. what song have you been listening to over and over these past few days? Lots and lots of blues! From "St. James Infirmary Blues" (the one youtube video I posted, with the creepy Fleisher studios cartoon) and Johnny Adams, to Eric Bibb (I heard the angels singing; in my father's house), Greg Clark Jr., and various programming on local radio...Other music I'm stuck on, at the mo: Lianne la Havas( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f845_v41YFo) and marveling at Janelle Monae all over again.
8. what’s your favourite kind of food? kjljajdfkjsa, how am I supposed to answer this?? I love any kind of noodle, except for glass. I like Thai, Vietnamese, and Indian, generally speaking...but I'd kill for freshly baked, good bread. Other misc. favorite things: basil (of any kind); foods that challenge sweet/savory boundaries; fresh donuts; autumnal flavors; seafood; and really phenomenal burgers + microbrew.
9. what’s your favourite part of an oreo: cream or cookie?!? I only like oreos ground up in ice cream or milkshake. (I'M A REBEL)
10. how do you like your steak: rare, medium rare or well done? Bloody. (◡‿◡✿) Also, for the record, I appreciate how many of these are food related. lolll.
11. tell me a story!! I'm really bad at entertaining people, so here's an unusual biographical note: My paternal and maternal grandparents all escaped North Korea at the end of the war, so I technically still have great aunts/uncles there (something like 11 on my mom's side)...It also probably accounts for my love-affair with Pyongyang-style naengmyun. :P
