I don’t think I’ve posted about what I’m working on in a long time! So, for anyone who’s wondering:

1) An original comedy series of short episodes following a poly quad post-college and their hot neighbor across the hall in 1999. Will be posted with ads on my site, or you’ll be able to buy ebooks or physical copies (I hope!)

2) Rewriting the Sandman series as an original series of novels with a new beginning. (Distribution same as above)

3) A McDanno story for the h50 Big Bang, which starts posting next week.

4) A Stoncy fic for the ST Rare Pair Big Bang @st-rarepairbang

5) A few more installments of Sandman to bring it to a nice close before I start taking it down, hopefully. I’m also planning on formatting it as pdfs that can be printed by a binder like luluxpress, so I’ll make those available at some point.

6) All sorts of good RP Stoncy content on the Stoncy discord server. (18+ please!)

7) This Stoncy fic, in case you missed it.

8) I started an H50 writers/fans discord too, and everyone (16+) is welcome there as well.

And I’ve been working!

So yeah, keeping busy!

For the original fics, I’d like to have sensitivity readers who are Indian/South Asian (for #1) or who are hard of hearing (for #2, experience with hearing aids and ASL would be great). I’m self funding so I’m still working out what the budget for that work might be, but it would be cool to make some contacts who fit those requirements!

I’m really proud of Ephemeral, but I feel like it kind of got overshadowed by other works.

So I took the day off writing my stoncy series and added like 8k to my stonathan fic instead. I have no idea where it’s going, but it’s heading in a suspiciously stoncy direction. Oops.

Anyway, then I figured out the rest of fic #12 (“season 6”), so roughly the scenes left to write (though some of them might end up in fic #13). THEN I wrote out the plot of fic #14, which will be much less heavy and angsty than 12, but still fun, I think. Might put a 1.5-2 year time jump between 13 and 14. That would get the series close to college graduation.

Who knows how many words it’ll get to before I’m sick of writing these losers and their super-intense found family? There might be a fic in there about Mike/Eleven and their intimate-but-platonic relationship with Will that might be really interesting. There’s a fic about the little kid OC that just got introduced. There’s a fic about everything, but from Joyce’s POV. There’s a fic about Joyce demanding a proper wedding, and wacky shenanigans that might entail.

So, yeah. It’s looking like there’s going to be a good break in between the last chapter of Lodestar and when I post #11 (short fic, mostly done). Maybe a week. Then another week until I start posting #12 (hella long fic, not at all done).

It’s about a parallel universe where Neanderthals ended up the sole human species on the planet. Their society is fairly utopian, and most every adult Neanderthal has an opposite-gender spouse and a same-gender spouse. And I’m sitting there, reading this, and thinking, “Wow, wouldn’t that be awesome? Too bad I’m not a Neanderthal.”

I have 37k of written fic and notes. There are two parts (~15k each) finished, and three more to go. I kind of don’t want to post any of them until I have all five finished. I don’t want to do that thing I always do, where I start off strong and then trail off. I want it to be a whole package of fic.

Are you into horror movies?

Not at all! I enjoy the occasional suspenseful thriller, but I can’t handle horror movies at all. Stranger things is about as scary as I can do, and even then I had to watch s1 only during the day the first time I watched it.

One time my friends convinced me to go see The Ring with them in the theater. I did not sleep that night until the sun went up. My brain interprets movies (and even some books) as extremely real.

Last song: To Be Alone – Hozier. Such a good song! Just the musicality of it. The soul. The syncopated, swinging-but-precise rhythm. The lyrics! One of my current faves. Glad my pandora plays it often.

Last movie: It was probably star wars tros, even though that was three weeks ago. I watch tv shows a lot more often.

Reading: I read this one despite the migraine telling me to stop.

I feel proud of myself

Today I rocked a meeting at work, brushed up my CV, applied for a career development seminar thing, contacted my old boss about teaching a class, and got some work on my paper done. Too bad only the first one was what I was supposed to be doing while on the clock at work today :P
