Rusty Mustached Bat Pteronotus rubiginosus

It has a wide distribution through Central America, the Caribbean, and northern South America. Pteronotus rubiginosus in some cases forms substantial populations, ranging from tens of thousands to millions of individuals. The caves that house these large populations are called bat caves and, in some cases, they can also be called hot caves when such caves have higher temperatures due to the body heat radiated by the colonies formed by tens of thousands of bats.

Sooty Moustached Bat Pteronotus quadridens

It is found in throughout the Greater Antilles, in Cuba, Hispaniola (the Dominican Republic and Haiti), Jamaica, and Puerto Rico. Sooty mustached bats roost exclusively in caves. They are one of the most common bats in Cuba and Puerto Rico

Macleay's Mustached Bat Pteronotus macleayii

Found in Cuba and Jamaica, with colonies of several thousand individuals spending the day roosting in deep and humid cave systems. They leave the caves shortly after sunset, and spend the night feeding on insects, primarily flies and beetles.
