Why are people so hateful?

A few minutes ago I posted to my local town's "Real Talk" page on Facebook. It's a page where the locals typically talk BS about whatever. 

I posted asking if anyone was interested in modeling because I'm fairly new to photography and would like to learn with a model. I asked that they be 18+, just so I don't have to worry about parental consent, and posted a link to my art page (which includes the photo below), just to show what I am doing. The response I received was horrific. 

I received two GTFO memes, one WTF is this S meme, a picture of a guy in super-short shorts dressing effeminately (which I suppose was supposed to offend me) and one post of someone saying "Oh boy! I'll tell my daughter.....ummmm NO!".

I can understand people not being interested. I can understand people thinking it's odd that I've only photographed a mannequin and questioning my sanity. But the response I received was nothing but hate, and that I just don't understand.

They made me feel ashamed for even asking, and I don't like this feeling.   

Can anyone explain the responses I received?

Great Long Weekend

I had a great extra long Labor Day Weekend (took Thursday & Friday off also).

Spent a lot of quality time alone with Sister K.

The quality time was so good that I didn't even know there were naked pictures floating around of Kate Upton, Jennifer Lawrence and others.

Whoever hacked their info is scum. I would have looked at them, but whoever released them is scum.

Apparently CeeLo Green is also scum, if what I've read is true.

So glad I was able to spend the much needed alone time with Sister K this weekend.

I'm back

I know the few folks that are following probably didn't realize I wasn't here, but I wasn't. I was on a staycation. A staycation, for those that do not know, is a vacation from work where you stay home because you are too broke to go anywhere.  I was productive around the house for the first few days, but productivity quickly fell. I did have fun on July 4th when my little sister and her husband came over to swim and hang out (even though they showed up MORE THAN TWO HOURS LATE).

I was thinking of starting a fundraiser, to raise funds (obviously). I have several ideas on how to do it, but would like to hear any thoughts on the matter.

A suggestion

Instead of lol, there should be gtm. Unless you actually Laugh Out Loud, you should use #gtm for Giggle To Myself. It's more accurate and fun. Let's make it a thing.

Bananas

I don't think this guy knows that today's bananas are not the same as they were 100 years ago.

The reason artificial banana flavors (candy and such) taste different than real bananas is because they have the flavor of an extinct strain that was killed off, and not the current strain that is popular.

Moved

So at my paying job we moved locations. 

It was just a cross the parking lot to a different building, but it's still completely different.

I know no one really reads this, and no one really cares, but it's a nice way to vent.

Maybe I'll get Sister K her own account that way she can vent about her job (which drives her crazy).
