i'm autistic, and a large part of my abuse was part of "therapy," being constantly compared to other students and verbally put down by teachers and doctors, as well as being scratched and pinched because i didn't like being touched and they thought it would make me like it somehow? it didn't work? also my parents physically punished me and say it's "the only way they could control me." anyways i'm pretty sure i have ptsd now but the idea of therapy itself triggers me so i just have to suffer
I’m really sorry that you had to go through that. <3
You can still practice some exercises to help with your PTSD and you may even be able to get yourself to a point where you could see a therapist. Here are some links to worksheets and exercises that you may find helpful:
This page has a bunch of worksheet and if you scroll down a bit there are a few grounding techniques
This page offers a lot of resources for self-help
Here are a lot more worksheets
This page is on a va website so some of the handouts may be more specific to combat PTSD but it does have a link to apps and videos
This page has information on what PTSD is, and worksheets and information that might help
This site has links to worksheets and manuals (some of them may cost money)
This site has some more information on PTSD as well as grounding and stabilization techniques
I know this can be a bit overwhelming, but when things are really bad having these tools can be helpful. I wish you the best <3
