sorry for using the ask-bot again but is there a reason why the warren are the animals they are? I am more curious on Niko being a stoat since they almost act exactly like P03 from inscryption

Niko is a stoat because I like stoats :V I didn’t learn that there was a stoat in inscryption until like two months ago lmao. Harper being a bird is mostly my fault but I’m pretty sure Tiny picked the species? Piper and Percy are rabbits because rabbits are the best, and Quinn is a wolf because it’s just the perfect critter for a protector.

Highly Curious, Why did you choose the name Pipe Up! ? I haven't thought of this question till now.

It’s a little bit of wordplay combining two things: most obviously, Piper’s name, but it’s also in reference to the story’s inciting incident, where she finally speaks (pipes) up about Percy being missing! I proposed it pretty early on during planning and it ended up sticking :3

How does it feel knowing your comic gets more and more popular with each upload and that you have a fanbase that's growing?

In all seriousness, it's been a really cool and humbling experience! I have a personal comic (go read Sunlocke!) that's always had a modest following, so to see the constant huge reception to Pipe Up! pages has been really unexpected and cool to me. Pepper's writing is an absolute joy to translate to the page, and I'm glad I get to play a part in it through the backgrounds c:
