Charlie had sent Percy a message two days before about meeting him here to open fire on the students. They hadn’t done anything like it in a long time and now was the perfect time to pick it up again. The plan was simple; open fire on the Evo students and faculty, maybe get a few humans killed and then call the nearest new station to tell them that Evos attacked humans. It would completely demolish their campaign and get the government to make all Evo’s register.
Then they could become open about their organization, instead of living mostly in secret and illegal, and hunting them would be easier than ever. If they were lucky, the world would praise them and even join their ranks to help rid the world of these vile creatures.
Pulling her car up to the nearest forest entrance, Charlie pulled out an assault rifle and machine gun and set up shop with a good view of the school. The sound of footsteps made him look around, finding Percy walking up the pathway. “I was starting to wonder if you’d chickened out. But, you know I’d kill you for growing a conscience.”
