this is so random but pub choir is going to the USA throughout june and the UK+ireland throughout august and i really think anyone who is interested should go 🙏 it’s an interactive show that originated in brisbane where the host, astrid, teaches the crowd a 3 part harmony of a popular song that then gets recorded and uploaded to youtube. i’ve been ~7 or 8 times and it’s a lot of fun. you don’t need to be good at singing; it’s meant to be an amateur event more than anything. it’s definitely aimed at a millennial/gen x audience but it’s fun for all ages + is definitely great if you go with a group of friends or with your family.

it’s genuinely a lot of fun and i highly recommend checking it out if it comes to your city. also if any australians are reading this, they do a LOT of shows in australia (particularly brisbane) and they’re all AUSLAN interpreted :D
