Maria Berrio’s fantastical artwork "There is Magic Underneath it All" (2019), at the Fort Hamilton Pkwy (N) station in Brooklyn, evokes journeys of all kinds and suggests to passersby that they are in the realm of #magic. #MariaBerrio brings her whimsical imagery to the streets this summer in her new work on view with @publicartfund's #ArtOnTheGrid at 1st Ave between 64th & 65th Streets. The carpet of flowers in "From Such Soil it Blooms" (2020) symbolizes the constellations of people within New York City who help each individual to realize their dreams.
