CONQUEST'S SNEAKER OF THE WEEK: Public Enemy × Puma Clyde This past April 10th 2020 marked the 30th anniversary of one of the greatest albums ever made in any genre of music: @publicenemy's "FEAR OF A BLACK PLANET". To commemorate this monumental occasion, PE teamed up with the good folks at @puma to drop this sneaker: the PUBLIC ENEMY × PUMA CLYDE WHY I LIKE IT: Simple but effective. The classic PUMA CLYDE silhouette takes me back to my younger days when I wore these to Secondary school back in Trinidad and Tobago. In 2020 though, this version has the deep red suede finish with laces of the same color on the upper. PUMA and PUBLIC ENEMY branding on the insoles and the album font for "Fear Of A Black Planet" embossed on the cream midsole of the shoe. WOULD I BUY IT?: I'm a die hard PE fan, so this would be a NO BRAINER. The problem is that these shoes go up to a size 12....and I'm a size 13. Go figure.
