Asian Athletics Championships : PU Chitra Gives 3rd Gold For India Win

India has won four medals on the final day of the Asian Athletics Championships in the Doha on the 24th of April. PU Chitra has defender her Asian title by getting a gold in the women’s 1500 meter race while on the other hand, Ajay Kumar Saroj finished the second while missing out an Indian double in the distance race. The women’s 4x400m relay team also won the silver, besides that Dutee hand rounded off India’s medal haul at the Stadium of Khalifa with a bronze in the women’s race of 200 m.

एशियाई एथलेटिक्स में चित्रा ने जीता गोल्ड मैडल, पुरुषों में अजय ने सिल्वर पर किया कब्जा

चैतन्य भारत न्यूज  23वीं एशियाई एथलेटिक्स चैंपियनशिप में भारत की महिला धावक पीयू चित्रा ने शानदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए बुधवार को स्वर्ण पदक अपने नाम कर लिया। वहीं पुरुषों की बात करें तो इसमें 1500 मीटर रेस में अजय कुमार सरोज ने सिल्वर मैडल जीता है। चित्रा ने ये गोल्ड मैडल 1500 मीटर रेस में जीता है। उन्होंने 1500 मीटर की रेस 4.14.56 मिनट में पूरी की। चित्रा के बाद दूसरे स्थान पर बहरीन की गैशॉ टाइगेस्ट रही जिन्होंने ये रेस 4.14.81 मिनट में पूरी की और तीसरे स्थान पर विनफ्रेड म्युटाइल यावी ने 4.16.18 मिनट में रेस पूरी की। बता दें 23 वर्षीय चित्रा ने साल 2017 में भी गोल्ड मैडल जीता था। वहीं 200 मीटर रेस की बात करें तो इसमें भारतीय धावक दुती चंद ने ब्रॉन्ज मेडल पर कब्ज़ा किया है। जानकारी के मुताबिक, अब तक एशियन चैम्पियनशिप में भारत के कुल 18 मेडल हो गए हैं। जीत के बाद चित्रा ने कहा कि, "बहरीन की धावक गैसहॉव टिगेस्ट के बगल में खड़े होने से आखिरी में मैं थोड़ा घबरा गई थी। उन्होंने एशियाई खेलों में मुझे तीसरे स्थान पर हराया था। अंत में मुझे कड़ी मेहनत करनी पड़ी।" Read the full article
